Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful.

Regards
Andrea

Blue screen is coming with 5e02 erroe

Hello Sanjay -- NOT a good sign I'm afraid the 5E02 message is a PCB error.
I just checked a website for a manual with trouble shooting ideas to send you and the sites are full of 5E02 problems and the only solution appears to be - Take it back to a shop if under warrantee.
Problems were UK , USA & Australia -- (I use www.google.co.uk ) as my search engine and i typed
"olympus 5e02 error message" and it applied to non-focussing problems , no display etc

How do i bypass the ink cartridge error on the hp Deskjet F4480? It is saying ink cartridge not compatible but it is a genuine cartridge. And E is displayed on the screen and the light is flashing. How can...

These types of severe cartridge errors (i.e. "refer to documentation" / "incompatible cartridges", etc.) typically indicate the internal micro-electronics of the HP #60-61 cartridge are electrically damaged - now, these errors can be bypassed on select printer models (temporarily). The cartridge's electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink cartridge, are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over time, which can lead to premature failures. In addition, the older the cartridge the higher the chance of an internal electrical failure due to prolonged ink exposure and subsequent circuit corrosion. I suggest you always run a 'Tap 41' diagnostic test to check cartridges electrical health (this is a forced test); you may also bypass the error (temporarily) on C4600-C4700 models which use HP 60 cartridges. E:61:00 Focus Error

Hey peter grifin,
Sony actually calls resetting the camera initializing, and to initialize the camera first take the battery out for about one minute and then reinsert the batteries. Next you want to go to the setup menu and find initialize and press the up arrow to OK and press enter and a message should appear saying "initialize all settings ready?" now press the up arrow back to OK and press enter. This process should reset your camera back to factory settings. If this doesn't work you could bring the camera in to a Geek Squad® precinct at a Best Buy™ store, and they should be able to send it out for service.

Sincerely,
Allan
