When you record something on dvd you have to do what is call "finalize" or "finish" to be able to play on another dvd player. look in the menu of the unit and find a section that has one of these words. you can this to happen manually or automatically when the recording is complete. it can be a little complicated sometimes.

We recently connected to Direct TV...I want to transfer some old western TV Shows I recorded on my Direct TV DVR Recorder to VCR Tape. I was told by the people at Direct TV that I would need to contact you...

You can try this: Connect your DirecTv to VCR with Red/White/Yellow cables. Then the VCR to your TV with the same type of cables. Make sure the VCR is set to the video input, not the tuner. Turn your TV to the correct video input. Get the program ready on the DVR as if you were going to watch it. Press record on the VCR and then play on the DVR. At the end of the program, press stop on both. You may have a problem with the video recording properly. Some stations broadcast with copyright protection.

Unable to switch from "Norm" audio track on old tapes

Hello, this problem is because of the nature of previously recorded signal. The recording made in an older way (mono) has a separate head and the solution for your problem can be to clean the head. This head has two functions, for control pulses and audio signal. If you need more info please advice. Arpi

Dubbing from vcr to vcr

Connect with RCA cable to RCA jacks\plugs::

*************************************************
Place blank tape in RECORDER, Tape that you want to record from into PLAYER.Press Record [recorder machine], wait one second, press PAUSE.( thats to give record tape "breathing" space.) Set up your player tape to start playing. When you know what you want to record, press PAUSE again to begining recording. Press PAUSE after the recorded section to install 2nd tape, etc. etc.
