How to Load or Reload"HP Digitalmedia archive" file and 'EZARC.msi to my HP Pavilion a1520n desktop. (XP)

Try this one:
This document pertains to HP and Compaq Desktop PCs with Windows 7, Vista, and XP. An error appears that contains a filename ending with MSI. (MSI refers to the Windows Installer.) This error can appear while Windows is starting up or when a particular software program is opened. This error might appear after using a Registry Cleaner or Registry Fix tool.
See the following error examples. Your error might be slightly different, but it has a filename that refers to or ends with MSI.
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'TrayApp.msi' in the box below.
'HPProductAssistant' the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.

  • HP application recovery process (Windows XP)
  • If errors persist, you can clean up the MSI registry entries by using Microsoft's automated solution. For more information, see Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled (in English).
Preventing MSI errors To prevent these errors from occurring, make sure that registry cleaning and spyware removal utilities do not remove files and registry entries associated with your software. Instead, if you no longer use a particular software title and want to remove all references from the registry, remove the software by using the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel. The software uninstaller will remove the associated entries from the registry.
Some products available for free on the Internet suggest that the registry needs regular maintenance or cleaning. However, use extreme caution when installing and using a registry cleaner. Many registry cleaners generate other MSI errors because they do not recognize valid registry entries and delete them. This can cause more MSI errors and prevent other programs from working.
If you do decide to install a registry cleaner, be sure to research the product thoroughly, and then download and install programs only from software publishers that you trust .

I cant get the Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0 PDF Printer to work. It comes up with an warning 20225 code; setup was unable to create a new item.

    Hi,
    I got 2 possible solutions:

Solution 1: Use a supported installation.
-- If you install Acrobat (Professional or Standard) on a 64-bit operating system, you may see this error. Install Acrobat on a 32-bit operating system.

-- If you install Acrobat to a shared network disk instead of a local hard disk, the Adobe PDF printer is not installed. Install Acrobat on a local hard disk.

-- If you install Acrobat to a directory with a path that contains extended ASCII or double-byte characters, English installations will display the error message. Install to a path that does not contain extended ASCII or double-byte characters.

Solution 2: Ensure that the Print Spooler process is running and set to Automatic, and then repair Acrobat.
    1. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel.

    2. Double-click Administrative Tools and then double-click Services.

    3. Locate the service Print Spooler.

    4. If the Startup Type is not Automatic, set it to Automatic:
    a. Right-click the Print Spooler.
    b. Choose Properties.
    c. Choose the General tab.
    d. Choose Automatic in the Startup Type menu.
    e. Click OK.

    5. If the Print Spooler service is not running, then start it.
    a. Right-click the Print Spooler line.
    b. Select Start from the menu.

    6. Start Acrobat, and choose Help > Detect And Repair.

    God Luck!!!!

    Error in registry

The easy way is to make windows repair itself, this can be done by starting your pc from the windows cd, then when the blue screen appears with 3 options,
    ..install windows,...repaire,...quite ..F3,
press enter for installation, then F8 to accept, then windows setup will search for installed OS and then asked you to press R to repair it, from this point you can press R and wait while installer delete windows system files the reinstall them without loosing your installed programs.

    Error Code 0x80004005

The issue is with google earth, is a fault in the software that comes up with certain windows installation.

    I report from Google groups:

    "
It sounds like Google Pack might be having an issue with installing
Google Earth. You can try downloading Google Earth directly at
    http://dl.google.com/earth/client/current/GoogleEarthWin.exe

If you're unable to download anything with Google Pack, you may want
to try looking in the awesome Google Pack Help Center for more
information. You can find the Google Pack Help Center at
    http://www.google.com/support/pack/?hl=en"

Also do the following, install it manually from

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add Program from CD/Floppy Diskette

    thanks

    Nero express 6 error 6

Try to copy the setup file on the hard disk and then run the installer
You need to get rid of:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\App Paths\NCoverEd.exe
from registry. Nero is looking at it during the installation and for some reason f it is there (maybe the problem is with mismatched paths) then installation fails.
Do registry editing at your own risk..
