Question about Jenn-Air JCD2389G Side by Side Refrigerator
Your three problems are interconnected to each one so solving one problem will solve all the issues.
Lets discuss about the first problem
Ice maker makes hallow ice.
1)For every 6 moths or 1 year you have to replace the filter. The decreased flow is caused due to filter problem. You said you cleaned the filter and the problem still persist.
2)Check the valve see the below picture how ice dispense parts interconnected. The
pat no 15 the valve which will be blocked by ice or dust you have to remove it.Can you see the valve 22 will connected down of water tub.SO check the valve is not frozen.
Simple if the valve decreased flow or hollow cubes means there is some block.May be due
to dust or frozen ice.
Your freezer freezing too much. The heating element and thermostat and defrost system or interconnected for this purpose. The defrost timer plays a vital role.It is controlled by
Temperature control board.Do test it using continuity testing method to find it is defective or not.If you have multitester we can easily find it out.Mainly this board will
control the heating element. If the ice is frozen up then this will decrease the performance of the fridge.
1)First Check the back wall or floor of the freezer section for frost. The Freezer(evaporator) fan is running?.This fan problem is very hard to detect.
The DC motor for the fan wears out the RPM's are effected. It gives the illusion that it is running fine, but it doesn't have enough force to supply air circulation for both the freezer and the refrigerator See weather the condenser coil for
blockage from dust and the condenser fan is running.
2)The compressor vents cold air into the freezer. Occasionally the vent can become clogged with ice, food or other debris. Locate the vent and clear it. To remove ice, use a hair dryer set to "low". Using the high setting may cause damage to the components or interior of the refrigerator.
3)Test the evaporator fan.The evaporator fan circulates air over the refrigeration coils. The coils absorb heat and the chilled air is then circulated. If the fan does not operate, the freezer will not cool properly. The fan motor may have failed, but check first that something is not simply blocking the fan blade.
Simple solution:Switch off your system for 24 hours or more so all the frost will melt and the refrigerator will start working as normal. The blockage of the ice will be cleared.

A customer reported this on epinions.com:
- Water and Ice work fine. I noted in another review a complaint of the feed tube plugging. We've had this happen only if you don't let all the crushed ice out. For me this has happened only about twice in a year and a half, and it's as simple as opening the freezer door and pulling the ice out of the chute.
This could be your problem with the ice cubes.
The freezing problem could be due to a faulty thermostat, bad damper, or bad control board. This blog talks about this problem also:
BTW, here's the web review page:
To know which part is bad, one must observe the operation to know what's going on, or what's lacking, and thus causing it.
Here is a good website that has some general good stuff to refer to:
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.
