Why is my dell d610 not connecting to my wireless connection

  • Check that the laptop's "wireless disable/enable" switch is in the enabled position
  • Check that the computer is actively searching for a wireless network.
  • Ensure the settings on your computer match that of the router, for example, make sure a thunderstorm didn't knock out power which knocked out power to the router, which forgot its settings. If this is the case, you'd need to re-load those settings.
  • Check that the broadcast unit for your wireless, the jetpack or the router, is powered on and sending a signal.
  • Reboot (complete power off and power back on). If the wireless now works, disable your operating systems' power management for your laptop's wireless card.
Good luck

Wireless not working on Dell D610, installed drivers, enabled in bios able to use FN F2 key show icon but no lites above keyboard

it might be diasbled. try windows key + "x", if this doesn't work when you turn it on there, try going to network connections and enable the wireless. Go to control panel, select network and sharing, change adapter settings, you'd have something like wireless network connection, right click and click enable if its disabled.

Just bought a Dell D610 and it won't connect to my wireless router. I try diagnostics and it says windows cannot finish repairing problem.

Try turning the router off for 15 sec. then power it up again waite until the LEDs are on then boot up the DELL laptop.
If you shutdown both the router and the laptop and power them up together, then the wireless router may not finish initializing when the laptop boots up and therefore the wireless router doesn't get a chance to issue an IP address to the laptop.
Make sure the wireless router LED lights are on before you boot up the laptop.
