I plugged my speakers in to the sound card and it

You must try 2 options.
Try uninstall sound card drivers, reset comp., and again install sound driver.
In second case you must try new system, with full format hard drive, because you can have trouble with virus, and that is only safe way.
You can also try another sound card, but I think that is you sound card OK.

No sound on the Vista comupter. speakers plugged

Dose the sound card have surround sound on it, might need to enable the surround on it. Or try to plug the speaker cable in the black or green hole. And see if that matters. Good luck!!

I cant fins my sound card location!!

The sound-card is "integrated" into the motherboard.
Look on the outside of your computer for the green sockets
(pink, blue, green).
Connect a microphone to the PINK.
Connect your speakers to the GREEN.
Connect your iPod to the BLUE (to use your computer's speakers to play the tunes).

Something's Wrong With My Sound PLUG

This quite possibly is due to pressing the speaker's plug(s) into the slot too hard causing the metal contact to dislodge or move out of the housing. I'd have to say your only choice in this matter is to get the sound-card repaired or to get it replaced. I, personally, think replacing the sound card would be much cheaper.

You can find some cheap sound-cards online at this website. Simply navigate to Computer Hardware>Input Devices. After the page loads, click, "Sound Cards" on the left (Watch out, there's a link labeled, "Sound Card Accessories." This is not the same link). Don't forget to check your computer to ensure that you have an empty slot to support the card.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain any of the things I mentioned above in more detail.

Sound device

First has this ever worked?

If yes - Please verify that you have power going to your speakers (if power is needed) and that you are plugged into the correct port on the computer (usually green that says sound or line out)

You may want to test your speakers on other types of equiptment, such as a boom box or anything for that matter that supports the plug.

You may also want to try the computer with a different set of speakers.

If this works replace your speakers if not I would ask you what type of operating system do you run on your computer such as windows xp, '98, Vista ?
