Question about Kodak DC265 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

I formatted my compact flash card on my computer and when i put it into the camera it said that the card needed to be formatted, so then I let the camera format it. Afterwards, the top of the camera LCD read "no space on card". I repeated the process, and the same thing happened. How do I get the camera to recognize an empty card?

Well, first of all, you should never have formatted the card in your computer. Try this..with the card in the camera, fire off a few shots. Do they appear when you play them back? Whether they do or not, go into the menu and find "format" and format the card now that it has a few shots on it. It may work now. If it doesn't, at least you've learned a valuable lesson.

Instead of connecting via the camera, just use a USB card reader and put the CF card in that.

SanDisk Ultra 11 CompactFlash Card 4Gb says "Card not Initalized"

You may need to format the card. There should be a Format command in the Setup menu. To be more specific, one would need to know which model of Finepix camera you refer to.

Dynamite,
have you tried to reformat the CF card?  If you deleted the image through your computer and not with the camera, the computer may have removed more than what was needed...
