Question about Lexmark Office Equipment & Supplies
It sounds like paper or some other foreign object is obstructing the paper feed. Adjust your width levers to the width of the paper, in case they haven't been set. Turn the printer upside down, and try to shake anything out that might have gotten inside it. Take a flashlight and inspect it thoroughly, looking for any problem. Inspect the rollers and paper sensor for any abnormality. If none of these steps help, the printer will have to be disassembled, and that is a fun job since the service manuals are hard to find, if possible. When you do get inside the printer, inspect the platen gears and collars- often they're stripped or broken, causing an uneven feed.
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.
