Why would my speakers not be giving any sound?

Really need a bit more information than this. Were the speakers working before? Does your amp work with other speakers? Are they powered speakers? Where have you got them plugged into? Could be heaps of things, so a little bit more information please.

Help

The speakers themselves don't need drivers, but the sound card in the computer does. If yours are missing you can find them online. If this is a name-brand computer, visit the manufacturer's website and follow the link to support and downloads. For a home-built or custom-built machine, you will want to get drivers from the motherboard manufacturer if the sound is integrated, or the sound card maker if it's a separate card. Since you don't give the brand of computer I can't give you any specific links, but a few minutes searching on the Web will give you the URL.

If the drivers are installed and Windows recognizes the sound card, but you just don't get sound, be sure the speakers are plugged in to the right jack, the sound card settings are correct, and that the speakers have the right power connected. Sometimes it's easy to overlook the obvious things.

Left speaker gives no sound

There could already be a problem with the speaker jack, if only one channel is consistently giving no sound on your system.

Try turning the male (connected to speaker wire) jack and you might hear a static crackle while doing this. If you get both channels to produce sound this way, you already have a failing audio jack, and may need replacement later on.

Hope this helps.

No sound coming out of the four main speakers. Why??

hi! there might be some technical problem in concern with the connection or wiring of your speaker. or maybe battery is not that strong enough to give full blast to the four speakers.
