SOURCE: I purchased the 54Mbps wireless

Connection to your wireless internet is not automatic, especially if you have not connected to the wireless network before and saved the configuration, you need to know the wireless network name (SSID) as well as the passphrase thats used as the secret key for security on your wireless router, if thats what you are talking about, try scanning to see if your wireless SSID is being broadcast then start troubleshooting from there, hope this helps...

Laptop toshiba can't find my wireless router realtek rtl8187b wireless 802.11b/g 54mbps usb 2.0 network adapter

Try checking your computer's driver. Right click on Computer. Go to Device Manager. The device drivers are listed in the device manager. Drivers are used to make your computer parts communicate with the operating system. If it has a problem, then the part won't work.

Check for your wireless driver - update it. If no go, then try turning off your wireless adapter in your computer and turn it on. Check = if no go. Try going to safe mode with networking.

To go to safe mode. Do the following:

1. Restart your computer. While it's starting or booting, keep tapping F8 until you see the options to go to safe mode with networking. Use the arrow keys to highlight safe mode with networking.

2. Let your computer start in safe mode. Check if wireless is working fine.

If you want to avoid this kind of problem in the future or if you want to make sure that your computer is running well, then install Radarsync.

Driver TLWN422G 54Mbps

Go to TP-Link's web page (here), click on "Download" and choose the correct version (1 or 2). There is also a link on that page which tells you how to find the correct version of your adapter.
Then download the driver for your Operating System (XP, Vista, 7).
Note: They do not provide Linux drivers.
