doesn't help this is not convection no self clean standard oven my top element works only on broil does not work on bake

I have 2 dials one turns oven off and gives me 2 other settings broil and bake

this dial has to be set to one or the other to turn on thermostate setting on other dial which lets me set oven temperture

if it is set to bake and I turn the other dial to 550 farenhiegt or even all the way to broil the top element does not heat up but if I set first dial to broil top element does heat up evenly

yes that won't help because this set has worked fine in three other ovens and worked fine in ours until 2 weeks ago and it is a problem with more then one pan and only recently

Hello. If this is the case, toss out that pan and get a new one.

Black smoke coming out oven when cooker and oven on at same time

sounds like the debris from previous cooking is burning. I would suggest cleaning it first. If it's not happening when one or the other is on it might be because what ever is in there is burning at a higher temp. or two it could be that the element is getting too hot and is burning the metal itself. How old is the oven, what kind and cooker? do you mean the stove part? if it's the stove part there might be a leak from the top into the stove -older stoves - the back left burner also got heat from the oven. when cooking you could but a pot or pan on it and not have to turn it on.

Fan comes on automatically

Actually, that's a feature! If you cook much on the range (stove) beneath the microwave, the heat will cause the microwave bottom to heat up quite a bit (just touch it!), and the microwave will turn on it's exhaust fan in an attempt to save itself from burning up. It will shut off in about 15 minutes after you turn off the source of heat.

I have a F&P Paprika range purchased second hand. It has no lower element in the oven and when attempting to bake the upper element burns the top of the food without cooking the bottom. Is this a design...

just been looking and if you are using the top that is the grill not the oven .... the oven and grill are in the same place bottom is oven top is grill.f460c0d3-6521-459d-80b5-9b83642e7906.jpg

Need directions for Comet stove top rice cooker

Fill the bottom to the line with water. Put two cups of rice in the top and two cups of water. Put on stove top on high until lower water is boiling, turn to medium heat. For white rice check after about 20 minutes, if water is assorbed and rice is tender, fluff with a fork...eat. If it needs a few more minutes of cooking, no problem.
Brown rice will take about 45 minutes.
I have used my stove top cooker for at least 35 years...ordered it with box top and some money from Comet Rice.

Top of stove hot when oven on

I suspect this may have been happening for quite some time and you may never have noticed it. MANY ovens vent near one of the stove eyes. If you lift the cooktop for 'servicing', I bet you see the little vent. It is usually in the back right underneath the cooking surface. Check to make sure it is not blocked, clogged or has rusted out/off.

Electrical arc discharging from the top, inside oven, causing burned spot in top of cooking enclosure

You may be able to repair that with a high quality epoxy.
Just make sure you read the package to be sure the eopxy contains no metalic substances.
I think you could succesfully repair it.
