Hi,my fridge is not defrosting.what could be the problem?

First, you have locate the defrost timer which may hidden behind corners of the fridge at the back bottom, in some models located in the ceiling of the fresh foodsection or behind the cold control cover. Once you locate the defrosttimer, slowly turn the screw like wheel in the middle of the defrost timer witha straight screwdriver until the fridge shuts off. Now it's in defrost. Ifthe defrost heater(s) starts, replace the defrost timer and defrostthermostat. If the heater(s) does not start, unplug wire cord to check ohm test for continuity of heater. If continuity is there, plug cord wire which gives power 120volts (check specification) to heater. If heater no starts, bypass defrost thermostat by join the 2 wires in thedefrost thermostat. If the heater now comes on, replace the defrost timer anddefrost thermostat. If the heater itself is bad, replace it. Thanks and hope helpful.

Kenmore Fridge Defrost fan wont stop running

Hi, The defrost timer is located in the control panel. There should be 2-4 screws holding the control panel. Remove the screws and lower the panel to see the defrost timer. There are 2 screws holding the defrost timer in the control panel.
Please let me know if this helps you at all or if I can assist yyou further.

My refrigerator is warm and ice build up is happening in the fridge

There is a timer that controls the refrigerator defrost cycles. This is located behind the kick panel at the bottom of the refrigerator. Remove the panel and look for a dial-like device toward the front. Try to manually turn the timer dial and listen for an audible click. No click, no defrost. Call a NEW repairman and have him check the defrost timer. Hope this helps.
