Alberto, your english is fine!
If your TV\DVD player is not damaged, then u have to look to your DVD disk. A smouge, a finger print, your or anybody Holding disk the wrong way prevents the light that comes out of the DVD to hit or touch the disk, causes it not to work or FREEZE.
1ST CLEAN ALL YOUR DISK with a DROP!!! of liquid soap in a small cup of water.Place a clean towel [NO LINTS on towel] in cup, squeez water out and clean GENTLY from LEFT to RIGHT, UP and DOWN.
Alberto, Its important that you DO NOT clean in a circle!!
[up and down, Left & right]!!
Question:: " all disk freeze "??
Get a different disk NEVER used in that machine.( try it!)

Mintek DVD-1600 Setup to cable box/tv

A dvd player that doesn't record hooks straight to the television, not the cable box. Tv's typically have av jacks. If yours doesn't, you will need to buy an rf modulator. If your tv has the jacks, U will need to use your tv remote and hit tv video or input or source on that tv remote to switch between input and tv modes.

Hello, im sorry i speak little english, but i have a 19" emerson tv combo lcd, its new i buy it 2 days ago, and now has a dvd inside, and wont eject, and dvd dont work, what can i do?

On the DVD player face, look for a small hole about the size of a paper clip wire. Push a paperclip or toothpick into the hole and see if the DVD opens up.

Wrong region

hi!your english is good!!
please try this:hope it helps!
dvp720sa
dvd player on
open tray
(no disk inside)

1. Turn on the player.
2. Open the tray.
3. Press the following sequence on the remote: 9-9-9-9-0
4. The number 0 will appear on the lower left side of your screen.
5. Your player is now region free! Put in a DVD and enjoy!
NOTE: The 0 in the sequence above represents the region code. 0 = region free. If you want to change your player to just a specific region code, replace the 0 with the region number you want.

Another Mintek Question...

To my knowledge this is not an issue that can be fixed completely without obtaining a new motherboard/DVD player and replacing them altogether. Another member, Ori, posted that it might be possible to trace the handshake signal the built in DVD player uses to communicate with the TV's motherboard. The correct signal would "unfreeze" the motherboard allowing for a fully functional TV. Unfortunately I haven't the time or skill to do that.

As far as the availability of replacements, I have seen the whole sets go on ebay quite frequently, but they are usually ones that have this same problem. Apparently Mintek went bankrupt some time ago per what little information I was able to find out about them, so that cuts any hope of a new replacement as well.
