1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced

You know they have a TWO YEAR Warranty ?

Sounds to me that it is faulty (one of the relays or switches is not providing 'through' power to the supposed 'backup' socket when the AC power is on.).

Have you followed the manual ?

Have you done a 'self test' ?
'To Run a Self-Test: With your UPS plugged in and turned on, press and hold the MUTE/TEST button for two seconds. Continue holding the button until the alarm beeps several times and the UPS performs a self-test. See "Results of a Self-Test" below.
Note: You can leave connected equipment on during a self-test.' see manual

If the LCD does not give you the answer then it is faulty. Seems like something went faulty on restarting your UPS in the morning.

Remove power supply from PC, connect it to AC power, then connect green wire with any black wire.
If it starts - check 12V AC, 5V AC.
If it doesn't - there are no user serviceable parts inside, just replace power supply

Take a multimeter, and measure the VOLTAGE and AMPERAGE being emitted by the AC power-supply. If "none", or much less than the ratings printed on the label, then it's time to replace the power-supply.

Otherwise, it most-likely is the connector where the AC adapter is plugged-in to the motherboard that is not transmitting, i.e., electrically-disconnected from the motherboard.
Maybe, resoldering the leads from the socket to the motherboard will fix the problem. Or, take the laptop to a qualified technician, for proper repair.

our laptop will always use the ac and charge the battery no need to remove this. If your laptop (boots up) displays the black screen with tex at the start you are able to save the laptop maby not the stored info boot up beeps let you no of any problems

Try removing the battery completely and powering it up on AC power. Sometimes a dead battery (even if you're plugged in to AC) will stall a boot-up in its tracks. If this doesn't help, please reply back and let me know if anything changed.

looks like you need to replace the AC adaptor , test the AC adaptor with a multimeter to check Voltage , if there is Voltage reading?? then you need to replace the battery. hope this helps & please rate, AJ
