Question about Dryers
I have a 2002 ge electric dryer that is squeeking REALLY bad. my husband replaced the belt, but it still squeeks. do you think we need to replace the barings? if so, what is a good web-site where it will show us how to do that? thanks!
Most likely source of sqeak fornt front glides or rear bearing, the front glides can be seen be removing the front panel, 4 plastic strips the tub rests on and spins across, they will look worn or even missing if thats the casse( they simply twist on) as far as the rear bearing ,,a.k.a. "top hat" , for it looks liek a top hat, the drum is simply pulled foward and out of rear post and the bearing can be reinstalled without even removeing the belt form the pulley

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
