Plug the transmitter into a usb port. make sure batteries are in the mouse and the switch is on. press the button on the transmitter and the red light will blink slowly. next, press the reset button on the bottom of the mouse. when the red light on the transmitter blinks fast, it has connected.

I was just given a wireless mouse w/everything but the rf reciever can i install mouse without it or where can i buy one

You won't be able to connect the mouse without the RF receiver. Micro Innovations may sell replacement parts on their website, but odds are it will be cheaper to purchase an alternate mouse. Sorry and I hope this helps.

I have a Compaq computer and keyboard and a wired Micro Innovations (mini) mouse. I also have a Micro Innovations wireless optical mouse. How do I hook up the wireless to work?

For the wireless mouse to work with your computer, make sure that it has a bluetooth capability in it. This is how your computer will communicate with your wireless mouse. If it does not have bluetooth, see if your wireless mouse came with a bluetooth dongle. If it does, connect the dongle, download the driver and the pc should detect your wireless mouse.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hope this helps!

Try to use it on another computer to isolate if the problem is the mouse or the software on your computer.

If the mouse does not work in another computer, then the mouse is defective.

Is the mouse does work in another computer, then reinstall the drivers on your computer.

Go to the manufacturer website to download the appropriate drivers

Red light comes on but cursor does not move

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud

Can't insert battery to the mouse

Normal 0 If the mouse doesn't have a little door to open on the bottom, then try this. Just behind the Left and Right keys where your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace the batteries.
Hope this helps. Bud

Micro Innovations wireless optical mouse

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
