Question about Danby Silhouette DWC512BL Wine Cooler

2 Answers

Fan started making some noise as it struggles to get to full speed. Sometimes, but unpredictably, I can tap the fan and it runs fast, smooth and quiet. Clearly, that is not a long term solution. If anyone knows how to address this problem, I would appreciate your letting me know. The fan part is a Ruilian Science RAL 1225S2 which doesn't appear anywhere on the internet.

I have the same issue I am attempting to replace the fan. It is a 120v .09 amp fan so it shouldn't be difficult to replace. My u it is from a different cooler but the same model of fan. Leads me to think this is a common part and a common problem.

Why doesn't my fan rotate anymore?

definitely sounds mechanical. try prying open the motor area and see if anything happens when you turn it on. i'm guessing it might be a short somewhere that's making the other parts have to compensate

also check into servos, relays, and whatnot

Won't start but CPU fan vibrates but will not go full blast. Intermittant

It appears you have a faulty CPU fan and it is causing the CPU to overheat and shut down.
I suggest you replace the CPU fan. remove any dust from the heatsink and put new heatsink compound on the CPU/heatsink.

CPU FAN STUCK ON FULL SPEED.

I think if the CPU run always on full speed and the noise is evident and bothers you ..it means that it has something that force the CPU to run on a higher temperature than normal one ..
This can be the environment or a heat source you use in the room ..or just dust covering the heat dispenser and making necessary for the fan to run faster to compensate .
running the system for long hours and having a high temperature in the room is probably the cause..To avoid damage ..try to clean teh heat dispenser (the aluminum part under the fan )..or at least to remove teh system cover and leave it cool better ..you can also install a second fan and this way assure a better cooling for the CPU ..

I have a hp slimline 3100. the cpu fan runs fast everytime i open a program or play a cd. it speeds up the slows down. sometimes it runs really fast, then the computer shuts down. whats going on?

This is an indication of overheating within the PC. Open the PC case and clean all the air vents. Take the heatsink and fan off the CPU and give it them a good clean. Put the heatsink and fan back on to the CPU and start up the PC. check that the fan on the heatsink is running smoothly.
Also, make sure the vents on the power supply are clear and the fan on the power supply runs well.
If you go into the BIOS setup, you may be able to monitor the fan and the CPU temperature.

Fan makes a whining noise as though it is struggling to turn

Check the bushings for alignment and lubrication. Dried accumulated dirt makes the rotor stuck and hard to turn. If this is the case, remove the oscillation gear assembly at the back of the motor. Lubricate the front and rear bushings while manually turning the fan to loosen it. Do it until the fan smoothly spins. You can use engine oil as lubricant or even cooking oil but don't let it flood the motor assembly.
If the fan smoothly spins when manually turned but still makes a whining noise when plugged and switched on, align the bushings.until desired result is obtained.
Note: These procedures are based on my actual experience and makes a perfect result. Extra effort is the only investment.

Heater fan motor

The fan motor can be checked by using jumper wires. remove the wiring connector from the fan.Run the positive wire from the battery to the positive on the fan and the ground to ground. It should turn smoothly and at normal speed at 12 volts. If it is slow and noisy, the bearings making the noise. This indicates the motor is bad.

Outdoor fan motor is not running fast enough?

Check to make sure that you have the correct voltage going to the motor. It sounds like you lost one of your legs of power which would give you 110v instead of 220v. Or it could be in the pc board.

Cpu fan noisy /chip fan fail

You must buy a new CPU Fan. You can get them HERE or a zillion other places on the Internet. You need a Socket 939 type fan that will handle your cpu speed. If you need help installing it, it may be in the manual. You can read the manual by clicking on the picture of your MB at the top of this post and then scrolling down.

Hope that fixed ya...
