I would start by cleaning all of the burners and making sure the gas "orifice" for each burner is clear. It is a very small hole that can easily become clogged.

Why won't my Weber grill ignite after installing a

Disclaimer- be careful when working with gas. Starters in gas grills are just about novelty anymore. Often, they only light 1/3rd or 1/4th of the burners and they usually stop working within one grilling season. I recommend using a wand lighter. Try to light just one burner but if doesn't light in 5 to 7 seconds, turn the gas off and wait to try again. Incidentally, you are turning the gas on at the tank, right? You should hear it when you turn the burner on.

I need to convert my weber genesis b to nat. gas. Have the hose. bought a replacement manifold part and installed but doesnt seem to work. STEVE 269-600-8111

Steve, you also need to change the burner(s) orifices to Natural Gas orifices. Natural gas won't work with Propane orifices.

Good luck and Happy Grilling!!

Low flame - doesn't heat enough

Hi, Patty. The low burner flame on a natural gas grill an be caused by several things.

1. The gas line shutoff valve is not fully open.
2. The burners are clogged and need to be removed and properly cleaned
3. The venturi valve(s), which has spider screens may be clogged.

The things listed above are the top 3 reasons for the low burner flame problem on a Natural Gas Grill.

To help you accomplish the cleaning of the burners and the venturi valves, I have included a link to your Owners Manual, that you can download & print for future reference. It has detailed instructions and diagrams in the Maintenance section, that will show you how to accomplish this.

Hope this helps you to solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks and Happy Grilling!!

New natural gas grill will not start. What are we doing wrong?

Is the inline gas shut shutoff valve, that's required by code, turned ON? Are you sure you're getting any gas to the grill? Have you tried to match light one burner to test it? That's where you need to start your trouble shooting.

Also, don't go by what it said on the box it came in. Check the manufacturer's tag on the grill to make sure it is in fact, a Natural Gas Grill. If it's propane, nothing you do will get it to light. Sometimes the wrong things get in the wrong boxes.

The primary burner ,which is lite first and provides an ignition source for the remaining burners may be clogged and is not supplying adequate gas. Remove the primary burner and make sure all the holes are clear. Spiders are a frequent cause of trouble by building webs around the burners.

Our grill does not lite. There is propane. Could it be the gas regulator? If so how do we test and fix it?

There are several possible problems, but I would start with the basics. I know this sounds silly, but is the gas at the tank turned on?

OK - assuming its not that easy, clean out the burner tubes to make sure spider webs or other obstructions are removed. Re-assemble and try again.

If it still doesn't lite, try manually lighting it with a lighter or match. If it lights fine that way, its likely your cross-over ignition and you can just replace it

Go to the Weber site and download your manual. It will have further trouble-shooting procedures, as well as the correct part numbers you will need for your grill. http://weber.com/help/manuals.aspx
