Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Can't get internet access through NetGear DG834G Router

You have to configure your router...

If your ISP provided you with IP Address, enter the assigned IP address, subnet mask, gateway IP address anbd DNS IP address for your broadband router.

If you connect to the Internet using an xDSL Modem and your ISP has provided you with a Password and a Service Name, then your ISP uses PPPoE to establish a connection. You must enter the required information.

Hope this could help..

SOURCE: internet connection

Problem solved by bus50. I had computer with windows vista, I took that computer aside and replaced with a computer that has windows xp, now my neatgear works just fine and so does a lot of other programs. I think windows vista is the worst os to ever come along. Thank you.

I get error 812 with the netgear wgt624v4

Error 812 is a dial up VPN error. If your not using a dial up Vpn network open control panel on your computer. Make sure you are in classic view, should be an option at top left of control panel to switch to classic view if you are not. Find internet options, click connections at top. The connections in the window are dial up connection, if you wish to use the netgear router its best to delete this click on each one in turn and remove on the right. When all are gone try and connect with netgear again. Your computer appears to be trying to use dial up and not your wireless router.

Hope this helps, any problems get back to me.

Using my WGR614 router I'm able to connect to the internet fine, but at certain times and usually the most inconvenient of times, it stops connecting. During this time all devices say "connected" but it...

Resetting the router is not really the solution. I would suggest you upgrade the firmware of the router. WGR614 has nine versions. So please make sure to choose the correct firmware for your router. The firmware can be found here.. http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/WGR614.asp
Hope this helps

Problem connecting to dial-up internet

You have dial up? wow.. well, might not be your computer or phone line. Might be the server your dialing into. Is there a different phone number from a different server you can dial to test this theory?

Wireless internet

Basicly the wireless router needs to be connected into the internet, then you will be able to connect to it. You need to install the card and make sure it works in your device, then connect into the router and it should work fine.

FVS 318 Internet Problem

I have been using three FVS-318's over several years with Windows XP, Windows 2000 Clients and Servers. I experienced different problems with all three of them and some of the issues could be resolved by Netgear, others were not. One of the problems was during Terminal Server sessions, the connection would be dropped. From the inbound, everything seemed to be fine. From outbound, the router was simply not accessible. This sounds very much like your problem, only with different applications. Once I started buying total different routers, all my problems were solved. Please don't stick too long with the FVS-318, however the box looks great. Once my problems were solved, I kissed the 318 goodbye. I'm sorry my repsonse to your problem came so late. I recently discovered this website.
