Look on the back of calculator. You will see a large rounded rectangle that takes up the bottom half of the calculator. That is the battery compartment door. At the battery door there is a depression. Insert your index finger in the space and pull down and towards you. The door will open. Insert the batteries, respecting the polarity diagram. In each battery slot you will see a plus ( ) or a minus (-).
