  • Place a bowl close to the inlet hose and use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the inlet hose clamp securing the hose to the inlet valve. Pull the hose off of the inlet valve and place the hose end in the bowl. Remove the two screws that secure the water inlet valve to the dishwasher with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the water inlet valve with the bracket out of the dishwasher. Disconnect the valve bracket from the valve body by removing the four screws with the screwdriver. Pull the screen out of the valve body and take the screen to a sink. Run water in the sink while holding the screen. Use a small toothbrush if necessary to remove any sediment that does not loosen with the running water. Place the screen back inside the valve body. Reattach the mounting bracket to the valve body, securing the bracket with the four retaining screws, Place the water inlet valve back under the dishwasher and secure the valve assembly to the dishwasher with the two retaining screws. Slide the wire leads over the terminal ends of the water inlet valve solenoid until they lock into place. Push the inlet hose back onto the valve and secure the hose by tightening the clamp. Place the toe panel back into position under the dishwasher door and secure the toe panel with the retaining screws. Secure the front support panel back over the toe panel with the two securing screws.Turn the water supply back on to the dishwasher and turn the circuit breaker on to power the dishwasher

A clean grater/zester with no trouble

Do you have the feeling that grating and zeisting your food is not worth the hastle of cleaning the tool afterwards?

Well, here are a few simple tricks that help you easily clean your grater and zester, remove all residues and keep you from grating your fingers attempting to clean it.

The first tip is to use oil. You can use a bit of olive or seeds oil and add it on the grater's surface. This way you will have a well-oiled surface that will not prevent the grating action but will help removing leftovers from the grater.

After the grating is done, a useful thing to do is brushing both its sides with a freshly cut lemon and then rinse. Most of the leftovers will come off like that.

Then take a toothbrush reserved for the kitchen and with hot water and soap brush the whole surface of the grater so to thoroughly clean it and then rinse it and let it dry completely before you put it away, to avoid rusting.
Another quick way to dry these kinds of items is to put them in the warm oven for 10 minutes.

Enjoy your clean graters and zesters!

    Grater not catching or turning

The fuse gear may have failed, if it has your beater will also not drive properly. I'm not familiar with a grater on your model.

Grater/slicer doesn't spin on my Cuisinart BFP-703 food processor

The gear box spidle operates the regular s-shaped blade as well as the grating/slicing disc. Does the s-shaped chopping/grinding disc still spin? If not, you can get a new gear box. If it does spin, replace the grating/slicing disc - because the plastic may be cracked, as you say. All of these parts are still available from Cuisinart, so I'm not sure why they weren't any help - I've always been able to order from them.
