Log on your universal remote controls manufactory's website, search the model of your remote control (the model number is ether printed on the remote control face bezel, or inside of the battery compartment), then you will be able to download the user's manual, and find the code, or do a code search.
You can get replacement Vizio remotes from Walmart, $10. As far as the pedestal, I can't locate one either. I would suggest checking Ebay frequently. I recycle LCD sets and come across rare pedestals. If you would like, visit our website, click on Contact US and leave your contact info. I will put you down on our Wish List and contact you if we get the pedestal in stock.
Google the model number of the remote and also the set to locate possible codes----also most remotes have a search mode where you can try each and every code in the remote (most have about 50 possible codes) to see if any will work for the set.
