The most cause of this is that the gas valve is defective or sticking closed or the thermal probe that signals the valve to open has failed, in most cases the entire gas valve is replaced as the probe is part of the valve, u are the 1st person to post a problem about this brand of heater so can't say if it is common or not, but sure a new gas valve will cure the problem,

I have not used my endless summer patio heater since last fall. I bought a new tank of propaned, cleaned out the cobwebs checked all connections and tried to light up the heater. It does not work. I can...

Mike, the problem started when you turned the new tank ON. But, it is correctable most of the time.

Turn the LP tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Open the gas valve VERY, VERY, SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the tank valve is fully open, light the pilot and hold the gas control valve in for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Release the control valve and turn it to the ON position. Did the burner light and does the flame height look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Just remember to always turn the tank valve on Very, Very Slowly.

If the above didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the heater's Hose/Regulator Assembly. A gas Grill's Hose Regulator Assembly should work and you can purchase one from any hardware store of home center that sells grills & accessories for about $30.00. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot & solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

line could be plugged try clearing , or you could have air in the line which would take ages to come out as pilot is very small , best to purge gas line of air then try and relight

I have a full tank of propane - my pilot light is sparking but it will not light? Any ideas on what to check? Thank you, Korby

Korby, I think you meant, your ignitor is sparking and you're not getting gas to the pilot. Since you have a full tank of propane, I can rule out that the tank is empty. However, I believe the tank or at least the tank valve is playing a role in this.

Turn the tank valve completely OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow Motion, slow) until the valve is fully open. Then light the pilot as you normally would. If the pilot lights, you solved the problem. If it didn't, either the pilot light is clogged and needs to be cleaned or the heater's hose/regulator assembly needs to be replaced.

I have an endless summer 92000 table top propane heater. Lights fine, but the flame does not burn at the edge of the burner. Instead, it only burns in the very center of the burner... much like a Bunsen...

Actually, it's a gas pressure issue. But, it's fairly easy to solve. First, you need to be sure that your LP Tank has a sufficient amount of gas. If it does, turn the propane tank valve OFF. Disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes. Then reconnect the hose to the tank and turn the valve ON VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once the valve is fully open, light the burner as you normally do and turn the burner flames to HIGH. Has the burner flame returned to normal? If so, you solved the problem. Just remember to always turn the tank valve ON very, very slowly.

If it didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the heater's hose/regulator assembly. Generally, i's the same type that a gas grill uses. So, it won't be hard to find one.

Hope this helped to troubleshoot and solve your problem. Please let me know.

I need to convert a Endless Summer Blue Rhino patio heater Mod. No. 233010 from naturalm gas to propane , what do i need

You would need new pilot and main burner orifices. You would also have to ask the dealer/manufacturer if the valve on the propane heater will work with propane. It may not because the propane tank will have to be connected to the heater using an LP hose and regulator. You would then need to take apart the heater to install the new orifices. Considering the cost of a new heater that is set up for LP, I do not believe the conversion to be practical.

I'm getting spark but no ignition on my Endless Summer patio heater. It's an older model. Any suggestions?

I am guessing that this is a propane model. If so, when it is sparking, can you hear any propane flowing at the pilot. It will sound like a light hiss. If not, either the pilot is plugged, caused my many reasons, or the regulator on the propane hose is stuck. If you are able to access the pilot assemble, you can take a small wire, or even a sewing needle to clear the orifice. If that does not help, you may need to replace the regulator or the connection for the tank.

Propane convection heater won't maintain full flame

Seems like the valve is not opening up fully or the adjustment is out of adjustment. Try adjusting the flame.

Endless Summer Patio Heaters won't stay lit

Hi ColdinSF,

You need to remove the covers from the unit and blow out the gas lines with compressed air. If you can remove the gas lines blow out the lines and what they connect to like the pilot light and main feed line to the burner. Usually they gunk up with use and just need to be blown out with compressed air to clear the lines again. Maybe you have some dirt or foreign object from your gas tank which has clogged the line. Also check the igniter electric lines as well and make sure everything is connected properly. Especially make sure you tighten the gas lines you remove. Hope this helps.

Regards
Bryan
