To be sure your hard disk is ded or just have probs in the casing just try to remove the hd from the casing and connect it directly to the system if its 2.5 tb u would have 2 hard drive orthree please connect all of them to gether to your system other wile it could become unalocated
if it works u have prob in the casing so just change the case .
but before going through all this just connect the hdd and go to disk management by right clicking on the my computer icon go to manage and then diskmanagement if itshown there as forgen or unalocated just let me know i will tell you what to do

Dear! usa partition magic 8.0 or later software or program and install it on your computer. Now you can get easily your remainnig space and you can also manage your partitions of your hard drive.

Your hard drive is bad. If you are hearing clicking reptitiously it is you head not moving. Sorry about the bad news.

Generally drives that "click" and give access errors are not recoverable by ordinary (consumer capability) methods. What has happened in most cases is the "servo track" that contains the underlying data required to access the drive has become worn-out or damaged. The best way to avoid this is to not jolt the drive when spinning, and more importantly - BACK UP YOUR DATA on a regular basis! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I recover several drives a week, but have to send off most "clickers" for professional lab recovery, which can be VERY expensive ($400-$2000+up).
