SOURCE: Power went out and now ceiling fan won't work

It is quite likely that the unit has an internal surge supressor/fuse that blew when the power went out. Tou will need to open the housing to the fan motor and inspect the fuse. Once you get the fan working, the remote will work just fine.
If the problem is the remote itself, then it is possible, though highly unlikely that the remote code has been wiped out that connects the remote with the receiver on the main unit. If so, hopefully there are reset/reprogramming instructions in the manual.

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan remote problem

You will most likely need to replace the receiver with a new one from hunter. The receiver is actually a complete controller and contains the receiver, relays (which you hear clicking) and starting condensors(large capacitors which hold a charge that is "dumped" over the windings to get the motor to start from a dead stop). These appear to be pretty tightly assembled unless you have a desire to start replacing parts "off the board."

SOURCE: Ceiling fan will not spin fast

in england the usual house current is 220 volts and here the current is 120volts. this explains the problem. unless there is a switch to change your fan to a 110 current built in it might make sense to buy a new fan and move on. rewiring it would be expensive and unless it has alot of sentimental value probably not worth it.

My hunter ceiling fan turns very slow

Check your capacitor. If this is an add on remote, set the fan on high with the remote then pull the chain on the fan until you get high speed.

Why my selling fan does not spin faster?

It is a speed switch issue you will need an electrician to come in and repair or replace the switch for your ceiling fan as I had the exact same issue last summer with my ceiling fans. I hope this helps.

We got 4 HUNTER ceilin fans in one room. Model 27185-060 with remote FCC ID:IN2TX11 Two of them are runing clocwise another two in opsite side Wat can we do to run all in one direction?

Your Hunter ceiling fan is equipped with a small switch that changes the spin of the blades from clockwise to counter-clockwise. Regardless of the make or model of your ceiling fan, this switch is typically located on the center motor housing where the fan blades are attached. good-day!

New Hampton Bay ceiling fans spin too slow

Slow spinning of the fan might be caused by a low voltage. Is there any way you can measure the voltage, and if the wires are properly connected, check for any loose wiring or rust in between connections. Maybe the breaker that supplies power to the fans has a loose connections inside, try putting a new breaker of same rated current. Check if those three fans are connected to the same breaker. Breaker can go bad from the inside not doing a proper connection and supplying a low voltage, this might be causing the slow spinning of the fan. Second the black box in the space with all the wires is called the capacitor.

Unable to reverse Thomasville ceiling fan rotation w/remote

I e-mailed Thomasville Lighting after my original post but did not get a reply. I then searched and found a similar problem on this site (http://www.fixya.com/support/t187540-ceiling_fan_not_reverse_remote) and read the Best Solution which mentioned running the fan at medium speed (not low), then pressing the Reverse Direction button....it worked. As stated in the original suggestion, this was very counterintuitive and not documented in the manual.

Can't figure out how to reverse the Hampton fan with the remote

I have the Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan SKU 523-127. I have replaced various parts over the years including the ballast, light shade, 9" 30 Watt Circline bulb and the remote.

Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan SKU 523-127 was sold by Home Depot, and manufactured by King of Fans.

King of Fans website is: http://www.kingoffans.com
This fan can be seen by clicking on Products --> Ceiling Fans --> Click on page 9 (at the bottom of the webpage) then click on the Windward II fan picture, then you will be able to click on Download Owner's Guide.
