Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Samsung LCD 192N After 30 Min or so it starts flikering on & off.

  1. After 30 minutes it turns off for a second and then back on 2-3 minutes later it does it again, then faster and faster as it warms more & more.
  2. It seems only when it gets hot, it's not in the first 30 minutes of using it.

The capicators on the internal power supply are overheating. You could get it repaired or find a way to cool the unit.

Samsung Monitor 192N light turns green when powered on then goes out after few seconds

this usually means the monitor is not getting a signal
  • i would check the hdmi/dvi/vga cable connections dirk_s.jpg
both on the back of the pc and on the back of the monitor.

  • if the connections are tight, and plugged in well, maybe try and connect it to a second computer or laptop.
    • If it works the problem probably lies with your gfx card in your computer (verify this by trying another monitor on it)
  • If it doesn't work on those i would try and replace the aforementioned cable (usually pretty cheap)
  • if the problem still persists the monitor would probably need to be replaced as its defective.

My 192n computer shuts off or the screen goes black, you turn it off and turn it back of and it will run for about a few minutes, it will then run and turn back off when the switch is turned off and back...

Most common problem is due to bad DC filter caps as you can see in my albums, that will be the first place to look.

My monitor stays on for approx. and goes off. Taking the power off for a few minutes, it goes back on for a few minutes then goes off agoin. What is the problem?

Seen a spate of these issues of late, I'd think its caused by failing Power capacitors, either bulging or blowing or leaking. You need to get this checked by a technician or TV repairman

My three year old Samsung SyncMaster 192n keeps turning off. If I unplug the power supply and plug it back in it will turn on for a while. Any suggestions?

You need to replace either the caps or the inverter board. You may require an assistance from a repair person in replacing it. Check this link so that you could see how the inverter board looks like:
