Question about HP LaserJet M1522n MultiFunction Printer

On installing software for my Hp all in one M1522n MFP the process was interrupted by a pop-up notification that: stubAPP has stopped working correctly & windows will close the program. Closing the program cancelled the installation. What can I do?? help plz.

The disk you are using might be defective. Try downloading the software from

select the OS and then look for the option "full solution" at the bottom. Its the same that the cd have. Good luck

Please Follow these steps to remove previous printer software and drivers, and then download the latest HP software and driver.
Step one: Remove the previous printer software installation Before you install the new software, first remove the previous printer software to make sure that you have only the latest software installed on your computer.
Use the following steps to remove the HP print driver and software from a Mac OS X computer.
  1. Double-click the Macintosh HD icon from the desktop.
  2. Click Applications , and then click the Hewlett-Packard folder.
  • Double-click the HP Uninstaller . The HP Uninstaller opens.
  • Click Continue .
  • Select the HP product to remove, and then click Uninstall .
  • When prompted, type the Administrator name and Password, and then click OK .
  • When the Uninstaller finishes, drag any icons for the product to the Trash .
  • Return to Applications , and then click the Utilities folder.
  • Double-click Activity Monitor . The Activity Monitor opens.

    Hi. This is a firmware related issue.

    First check if the firmware posted on HP website for your MFP is newer that the one you currently have, if it is then download and apply the newer firmware.

    In case the problem persist, you could also try the following troubleshooting:

    Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the MFP to fully initialize.

    If you have recently installed a memory module in the MFP, turn off the equipment, remove the memory Module, reinstall it and verify that it is seated properly, and then turn on the MFP.

    If a surge protector or no-break is being used, remove it. Plug the MFP directly into the wall socket. Use the power switch to turn the MFP on.

    If the error persists, contact HP.

    Hp laserjet p2035 StubApp Has stopped working

    This is entirely software based.
    The stub app is part of the software that helps the computer/laptop communicate with the printer.

    My first bit of advice would be to go to HP's support site and download the new software or re-install the software from HP website

    Please note when I say re-install I mean uninstall the older software first and then re-install the new downloaded software.
    1. In Windows Vista/7 (Click on the start button).
    2. In the search box type in programs and features (look above and select uninstall a program).
    3. Select every single bit of software related to HP Laserjet and uninstall this one by one.
    4. Download the software from the link above, restart the computer and re-install the Hp Printer software (Do not keep the printer plugged into the computer or powered on).

    It is possible. The message is caused because the printer cannot read the little chip that is on the cartridge. Usually replace the toner will fix the issue (specially if its not hp). In your case it might be the reader that is not working. Try taking the cartridge and paper out. Then reset the printer by turning it off and press and hold the down arrow and cancel. Then turn it on and wait for the message ''permanent storage init'' then release the keys and will get back to ready.

    Scanner error 5 on my hp laserjet M1522n MFP

    This is due to a formatter failure. The scanner assembly has been damaged and will need to be replaced as well as the formatter board.

    Try an nvram
    Try doing a hard or reset or nvram:
    1. Turn the printer off
    2. Hold down the down arrow and the cancel button
    3. Reboot the printer while holding the buttons and hold until permanent storage is displayed. Let go of the buttons and wait for the ready message on the display.

    if this does not work contact hp, if within 2 years from the purchase date ask for a case number to have the printer serviced under a service note.

    Download and install the VISTA  driver for you model. Are you running 32 or 64 bit VISTA? Download the corrct one and install. Worst case, don't use the software use the driver only.
