Hi, the problem you are having is with the phones firmware you will need to take this phone into a phone shop and have the phone flashed and the firmware re-installed, the problem with this is you can only have it done at a phone shop as they need to install all the software back on the phone and the other problem is that this will wipe the phone so you will lose anything on it.
you can back it up if you have the leads to your computer and the correct pc suite for your make of phone if you dont have this just ask the phone shop to back it up for you.
their is no other way of doing this as you cant get the firmware and re-install it yourself the phone shop will charge you for doing this but it will be cheaper if you go to one of those independant shops instead of one of thos bigger branded ones.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
It sounds like to tried to hack the phone,,never heard of bootloader showing up unless you tried to load it, you probably can't fix this unless you know how to look at the firmware that runs your phone. Best thing is too take it too your carrier store that has a repair on hand or sent it to moto, if you tried to hack they will charge you for messing with it, if you did not then it should be free,,should be,,
Also wait and see if you get a better answer,,,I have only hacked all razors Iphone, lg vu, never touched the phone you have.
Reflashing the phone requires that you have acces to some service software programs (PST for example) and a correct, unlocked, stock flash+flex pack, also compatible with your bootloader version. As a general rule of thumb, if you don't know what this terms mean i recomand you try to avoid the process. Some people ended up with bricked (dead) phones because they simply didn't had some field experience with flashing phones or service and bootloader commands. My advice would be to play it safe and try to get help from a service center.
You should get the phone to a service center because most probably the phone's firmware was corrupted and needs to be reflashed.
However you may check if the phone can be saved by issuing the following command. Close the phone first. Now press (and keep pressed) both " * " and " # " keys. With these 2 keys pressed, press the power button (red phone). Your phone should enter bootloader mode. Try this combination some 3-4 times if you don't succed at first and remember your phone must be closed when you begin. If the phone enters in bootloader mode it would be relative easy for a service center to fix it by reflashing it's rom and this woun't cost too much, otherwise it may turn out to be expensive and difficult to save the phone.
no one can help you with this issue ..if you call the motorola help line for cell phone repairs they tell you they have to flash the phone and you will get the phone back in two weeks time.this is thier phone number 800-331-6456
Goto google and look up Bootloader USB ini you will get results from Howards Forum telling you on how to reflash your phone follow the instructions.. Ignore the post about "V3M bricked but not hopeless" thats mine and its a different situation from yours. Good luck!
I had the same problem so I called Motorola Tech support. They told me the BOOTLOADER USB INI message meant that the software for the phone wasnt updated and in order to update it to the right software you'd have to send it in to them to fix it for free ONLY if its still under their 1 year warranty or else you'll have to buy a new phone. So next time you guys get a new phone make SURE you UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE REGULARLY! I learned my lesson. I am so pissed.
P.S. Is there anyway of getting your contacts off through the comp even if your phone wont power on?
