Did you get this solved. I had this for 2 years. Unit has been in and out to LG and they couldn't find an issue. Its solved now by luck. The fuse went so I changed the fuse and it hasn't done it since. Could be the same for you.

This isn't going to be a setting, or easy fix, but it is possible to figure it out. This is most likely a temperature problem in the power supply, and you can let the set warm up, then take electronic freeze spray, and spray the various components until the unit turns back on.
It helps to have a working knowlege of electronics, but one can focus on the voltage regulators and ICs. Be careful, since you'll have to work on the set live, and I don't recommend inexperienced persons trying it. A possible fix would be to set a small or medium fan to blow in the fin vents of the set- it might cool it enough to keep it working.
Wish I had an easier answer, but it sure sounds like a thermal problem. It's also possible that it's a cold or cracked solder joint.
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.

What you are experiencing is unstable supply of voltage coming from the power supply section of your LG TV. If you can manage to open the back cover of the TV and look for the power supply board, then change all blown and bulge capacitors. (The power supply board usually came at the end of the power plug) The capacitor should be replace with exact value.

The unit has DC Offset, meaning a damaged amplifier. This issue will not allow the unit to turn on until the damaged is repaired.

It is a common problem with them.Every couple days, remove the battery for a few min.and let the phone reset itself. You also should shut the phone off a couple nites a week. And remember not to over charge it.It is never a good idea to leave them on the charger for more than a few hours at a time.I was having the same problem with mine,And now it seems to be fine

A single vertical red line

That means the LCD panel itself (the actual glass) is broken. Don't delay, return it and get another before it's too late! The problem will most likely NOT go away, and there is no fix other than to replace the panel itself. The panel, when purchased separately, can cost more than the monitor itself.
