Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer

1 Answer

The clothes are still water logged at the end of the cycle. I do not think it is a drainage problem for there is no pooled water.

Check for a kinked drain hose. Don't move the washer just look behind it with a flashlight
This happens a lot
If you move the washer tho the kink will straighten out and you will never see it.

If this was helpful please rate me.

Why does water pool on floor every now and then

Condensation is not being caught in the overflow tray at bottom of unit (if there is one). Check that drainage pipe (usually black) is not blocked by debris. Disconnect each end of hose and any clamps, then run water through pipe (outside faucet is a best choice since any sludge will be less of problem).Bottle brush will help clean the two opening. I even was able to pull a threaded nut on a string tied to thin, small cloth through one of these pipes. Once obstructions are removed, reattach both ends of pipe and any holding clamps.

Washing machine wont complete drainage at end of wash cycle

Look under the washer tub where the drain hose comes out and attaches to the pump. Your pump impeller is either clogged or worn out. Try removing the pump and checking from there.

I have a Kenmore frontloading washer, model no. 417.42042100. At the end of the wash cycle, the clothes are still very wet; that is, still SOAKED with water, even though all the water has been drained...

HI. your unit is equipped with a spin control board. this board, if damaged, will not initiate an adequate spin. This will not allow for proper drainage and drying of the clothes. The spin motor regulates the rotation speed during the spin cycle. It seems to be the culprit at this time. Have the spin board replaced asap.

This part will usually cost around $150.00 at the most.

Does not complete spin cycle

Ok, when this happens, its usually because of a drainage issue. the spin cycle has to work in conjunction with the drain pump to remove the water during the spin cycle and, if there is a clog or drainage issue, the spin cycle will shutdown. check the following to address this drainage issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

Spinning fast and furious, just doesn't wring clothes dry

It sounds like you need a water pump!
See if it's pumping water next time you do load by looking at the discharge hose going to the drainage pipe and get back to me!

Water pooling up in bottom of dishwasher

is there any way to run the cycle from the beginning and listen to hear if the machine is draining at all when the cycle starts do you hear the water spraying on the inside ? if not then you have several different possibilities....clogged drain line, pump impeller broken(sounds like running but no action), water just flowing back to washer the last one's an easy fix just loop the excess drain hose up like a reverse "p" trap on a kitchen sink drain this keeps the water from flowing back to the machine

Drain problem in GE WBSE2090A washer

hello, if you washer is not or isn't fully draining that sounds like something might be in the pump.Icheck for any hose blockage as well.If there is a bad smell that might be dirt or a peice of clothing or anything. so my suggestion is to check your drainage hose, the pump or maybe try even to syphan out the pump which means put the drainage hose in a bucket lower than the washer or your drainage is higher than the washer. good luck...
