This unfortunately can happen to PSP's, exactly the same thing happened to mine. The usual cause of it is when the memory card is removed while it is updating or the data being written corrupts. The other cause is losing power half way through the update causing the console to become "bricked". The only thing you can do if you have removed the battery and tried restarting it is to give Sony a call and explain that after updating the console did not work. They replaced mine free of charge. See how you get on.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Hi,I'm having CFW 5.50 Prome-4.I downloaded FF7 Crisis Core ISO from the internet and when i wanted to start a new game.after selecting new game it just shows me a black screen but the power button is...

It seems like you have a broken ISO from the internet, I would suggest the following measures.
1. Redownload the ISO, it may be corrupted. Try to download it from another source.
2. This is more severe, but it might help in the long run: re-apply the update for your CFW, meaning, reformat your PSP, apply the update and the CFW again.

Hope these tips help :D

I recently updated my psp 3000 to Version 6.38, and once the update was installed, my Action Replay PSP data was gone and i had later found that it was Corrupted. i formatted the memory stick more than...

you have to downgrade your system to 6.20. thats the only supporting firmware ar psp could run on. and plus, the server is currently down and it will take time to fix it. i received this info from datel customer service via email. im guessing about 1 month for the ar server to work.

On what website do go to download new features to my psp and tell how to download new features to my psp and when is the next psp update

on the main menu there should be a system update feature. make sure that you are connected to the internet and you could update it directly from your psp.

if not then you must download the update from the sony website and then transfer the file from your pc to your psp

ok 1 of the only solutions i can think of is to update ur software try updating to the new version.

My Psp wouldn't download any gaming materials.

You need to download the Update from Playstation.com and store it on your memory stick. Evidently you have a corrupted update file on the UMD. The only way outside of that is get a new UMD game that does not have a corrupted update file.

Cant upgrade psp

Here's what you can do:

1. Connect your PSP to your PC.
2. Check if the proper folders are on it's Memory Stick. There is
a folder called PSP which had the following folders
underneath.

GAME
PICTURE
VIDEO
SYSTEM

3. The folder you need is GAME. Go in there and create a subfolder called UPDATE.

4. Go to www.playstation.com

5. Look for your local site.

6. Look in the PSP section for firmware updates. Here's the link for the most recent firmware update for the USA.
[PSP Firmware 3.80]

* If you need other regional firmware you'll need to look for it yourself or tell me where you from.

7. Download the file in the above link to a convenient place such as your desktop. Then copy it to the recently created UPDATE folder.

8. Safely disconnect your PSP.

9. Start up your PSP and go to the Game section of it, select Memory Stick. You should now see the file.

10. Open the file by pressing X. The update procedure starts. Be sure to follow the on screen instructions.

If you want to read these steps over again, click this link:
[Updating PSP via PC]

Warning: do not use firmware other then placed on Sony PlayStation's official site. For it might damage your system and it will never boot again. Also make sure the battery is fully charged (a charge of 50% will not do, the update utilty won't allow the update). Since it can take an few minutes you best connect it to it's power supply.

NEVER interupt an update by shutting your unit down, removing battery, removing stick, removing power. The damage done is not covered by Sony's warranty.

About the issue for the connection with your PS3 unit. It's true, you need one of the most recent firmwares.

I hope this helped you out, please rate my solution.

Greetings,

DarkNeogen
