Goldeneye deleted all it's memory randomly

Hello, n64 cartridges are outdated for that reason exactly. They have a small space to save game info. A quick off and back on is actually the way you reset the memory. Say you bought someone else's n64 and each game you loaded had saved info on it. Powering off and then turning it back on, would erase that data and allow you to start your own game. Once your 64 went instantly off, it reset/erased the saved info. Unfortunately there is nothing I know of to get it back. Sorry. Hope this helps though.

How do you save Super Mario Galaxy on wii? New on wii and cannot figure out how to save where we are insted of having to start over again.

You can save by pressing the + button and choosing save. or you can do a mission and after you complete the mission, it will ask you if you would like to save, choose yes.

When i play metroid prime it says the data is cruppted

Sounds like you may have a Bad Memory Card. Is it doing it to all of your other games as well? If so, then try getting another memory card and doing it with that one. You may have a messed up disc as well, this could cause the save function to be screwed up. Try using the card is the Second Memory Card slot instead of the first one, you may have a bad Memory Card Slot as well. If none of this works, try taking your game to a friends house and using their Wii/Gamecube to see if the problem still exists. If so, your issue is either the game or the Memory Card.

I have lost all my saved data for only ONE of my Little Big Planet saved accounts. all my other accounts still have their data, but the one that lost data has lost EVERYTHING. i have to restart...

seems like the save didn't complete successfully or the power was cut before the save was complete, and if it was left incomplete it becomes corrupt and un usable. Its very unlikely to be recovered since the save is written to the same part on the disc.

for example, you write something on a paper, then you change it, you erase a word or two and put something else there. then someday you erase some of the text again and you write something back but your interrupted in the middle and you go somewhere else and when you return you have no idea what you where supposed to write and the info is ruined, as the console doesn't remember what there was before it, and it has no idea what it supposed to be since its incomplete.

So it can't read the save since its corrupt, the only way to recover it is if you had the same save at another location but that's very unlikely in this case.

The data most likely can't be recovered in this case.

this problem was easily avoided on ps2 by having more than 1 memory card, you could have the same save on two cards and if the other broke you still had the backup to continue from.

How to avoid this issue? make sure the console is not turned off while its saving. but sometimes the console may freeze and if its saving at the same time then the save gets corrupt.

Sorry there is noting we can do in this case.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Ekse

Super nintendo game can not save over existing saved games

Yes Try Reseting The Power Button Over And Over While The Unit Is Running Then Check. This Should Delete The Files. Also If You Have The Newer Version Of The Snes Pull The Game Out While The System Is Running And Put It Back In.

Super NES is Driving Me Nuts!

Turning your console on and off *can* erase save game data. This is in the users manual. Intermittent operation on older electronics indicates an internal connection problem somewhere. See if Nintendo can direct you to a fix-it shop, as they no longer service SNES consoles. Failing that, ask local video game stores and rental stores where a good fix-it shop might be.

SNES Breath of Fire 1 AND 2

The problem is the games. The memory inside them is volatile, meaning that it requires a small electric current to keep the information saved. The battery only lasts for a few years, and then the games are unable to save data. The battery can be changed but is usually soldered to the board.

also,
Why is this filed under Sony Playstation??
It looks like a Super Nintendo problem to me..
