Question about Logitech Driving Force Pro (963293) Wheel And Pedals Set

1 Answer

Driving Force Pro pedal pots are dead

Hi!

I have a perfect wheel otherwise, but the pedal set seems to be dead. It started by sometimes dropping the pedals out, then the brake pedal was dead and now it seems that neither one of them works.

I have opened the pedal set, and separated the pots, cleaned the brake pot with contact cleaner, but it back, tried to move the pots by hand, but no life in them at all.

This is bad, because I don´t have any chance to buy a new set, and because the pedals don´t work but the wheel does, it would be a shame to throw the set away...

Do I have any chance to get them working again? Are there any pots other than the originals to use as replacement parts?

I have driving Force Pro all plugged in but can't get it to work! The steering wheel doesn't steer the car and foot petals do nothing! Grand Turismo 4. I have ps2. Can anyone help?

Hi, The behavior of your devices does not seems to be " normal behavior ", please check this Logitech FAQ regarding Gran Turismo 4 on PS2: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2195&section=troubleshoot&crid=441&lt_product_id=273&tabs=1,3,2,4,5&p_search_text=Driving%20Force%20%20Pro
If you can't solve the problem this way then I suggest you to contact the Logitech support for a replacement this is an hardware failure and it's covered by warranty terms.
If you are not under warranty you still can contact them as I know for instance in Europe they can offer you some good deal on nowadays products.

The correct voltage output on the power supply is 24 volts and .75 amps. Center positive outside sleeve negative. Hope this helps.

try this fix. The pedal issue is common with the Logitech Driving force series wheels. Also try going into Controller settings within the Grid game and set to configuation that suits the wheel that you have. http://merc460racing.com/GT/repairing_logitech_driving_force.htm

Driving force pro steering wheel

A solution from Youtube comments:

"if u realy want this wheel to work u need to open it up, and there is a rail u can move foward to lock the wheel into 180, then fire up your pc ps3 or game and let it calibrate. and it will stay in 180 (left led on)then after it has done that push the rail backwards for 900 (both leds on). and its all good, the rail is white plastic and is under the big metal bar. u cant miss it.
ive cut a hole in mine at the top so i can move the rail whenever :)"

Mains? you might want to be more specific, and you definitely want to lay off the caps lock.

assuming you are talking about power?

then i would say either go to you local electronics store, or search on google.

If you pause the game you can reset the pedals but unpluging them from the main unit then plug them back in, they will then reset and the you will have another 5 minutes of playing until the brake goes hay wire again.
