As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

Freezer works fine.. no or barely any cool in fridge. no compressor sound

Good day,
If the freezer is working then there is no issue with the compressor. The cooling is all performed in the freezer with a small amount of freezer air bleed into the fresh food compartment to cool it. All machines are designed this way.

First, check to see if you can hear the fan motor running in the freezer compartment by opening the freezer door while it is running and listening. If you can't hear it, remove the rear panel inspect and replace as needed.
If the fan is O.K. then look on the bottom half of the rear panel in the freezer compartment for a frost buildup. If so, your defrost system has failed.
You will need to remove the back panel and defrost the coils.

The defrost system is made up of 3 components. The main defrost heater, mounted to the bottom of the cooling coil, the defrost thermostat (a small round disk about 1" in diameter) clipped to the top of that same coil and lastly, a defrost control mounted in the roof of the fresh food compartment and can be a timer, electronic defrost control, or a electronic module.
The main heater rarely fails, the last 2 are usually the culprits,
and should be replaced as a pair.

Your problem must be one of the 2 I've listed, unless for some reason the light switch failed in the fresh food section, and the lights stay on all the time.

Below is a good tutorial on defrost systems. Best I can do without a model number and style.

Refrigerator runs, cools (freezer too), then stops cooling for a few days (freezer stays somewhat cool), then starts cooling again. Help...:(

In these new fangled ice boxs is what you call adaptive defrost control. Instead of the old tried and true defrost timer, brainiacs have decided to use artificial intelligence to determine defrost.
The basic pattern of adaptive defrost is:
Hey I ain't making this up. The ADC (adaptive defrost control) Counts the number of times the doors are opened, the total compressor run time, and the length of time the defrost heaters were on during the last defrost. This method supposedly enables the adc to work nice in all kinds of conditions, whether hot and humid or cold and frigid climates. COOLING Mode will remain for an indefinite time or until defrost is determined by the micro-processor. When all systems are go for defrost the adc makes the jump to light speed by going into PRE-CHILL, this brings down the temps in the freezer to off set the defrost operation so that the food temp does not suffer dramatic temp rises. Pretty cool ain't it? If the ice box is in pre chill and the door gets opened then a DEFROST HOLD OFF will jump in and not do a defrost for several hours. If the door is continually opened at the end of 16 hours the adc is gonna defrost that ice box anyway. The defrost period varies but is a maximum time of 45 minutes including when the DWELL kicks in. Dwell is the length of time the ice box stays off AFTER the heater is terminated.
Then The POST DWELL will kick in. The post dwell will fire up the compressor and condenser fan but the inside fans will not run allowing the coils inside to cool down before them fans kick in and she jumps back into Cooling mode. I bet you would like to have a copy of GE's adc repair manual wouldn't you?

My evaporator fan dont work on my fridge

You may need to advance your timer so you fridge will start cooling. If it's in defrost neither will work because the defrost thermostst has to be cold enough to close the switch inside it.

Freezer works fine, refrigerator loses the ability to cool until barely cooling at all.

first thing I would do is remove the back or bottom to expose the evaporator coils. If the coils are all iced over you do have a defrost prolem. You ill need to locate the defrost timer and most times there in the fresh food section. Where on your model I cant tell you but it will have a slot for a flat head screw driver to turn the shaft. Turn it untill you hear a click. That will put the timer into defrost. Then check and see if the heater is working. if not you need to check the heater and the defrost terminator, The trminator is a small round disk with 2 wires on it. you will need to ohm it out to make sure its not stuck open. If it is thats your problem. If not ohm the heater. if thats good replace the timer. And are you sure the evaporator fan is also working? If it is not you will not cool the fresh fod section. There should also be a schematic maybe on the back of the unit or on a tech sheet in the back or behind the kick plate. Good luck
