Question about iGo Computers & Internet

Open Question

I just purchased two iConcepts PCMCIA Wireless Presenter/laser pointers (#M11617-MB). Unfortunately, they do not function with any of the computers I have connected them to. When I plug the usb receiver into a computer, it is recognized as "USB Keyboard" and "USB Human Interface Device" in Windows 7 and with Windows xp-sp3. They show up in the Device Manager the same way but non of the buttons ond the device control anything on the computer (pointer, slides in PowerPoint, etc). I noticed (after receiving them) that the package indicates Windows 98 SE or higher as system requirements. The batteries seem okay because both laser lights function properly.\r\n Supposed to be plug and play...no software included. Checked www.sakar.com site and it is not even listed as a product. Are there compatible drivers to enable them to function as presenters?

SOURCE: wireless presenter dont work

Did you press the right button on the remote? To 'sync' the sender and reciever, and thus start it working, you've got to turn the handheld OVER and press the mysterious little button in the middle at the same time as the button on the USB stick. Also helps if you have them right next to each other when you do this. You should see a green light on the USB stick, and the laser pointer should work on the handpiece if the batteries are good. Mine was working fine for heaps of presentations then suddenly stopped one day and only the laser pointer would work. Batteries were fine, as is the common story. Then I found out that if you turn the presenter over and press the 'reset' button in the middle simultaneously with the USB reciever stick, the two 'sync' and it starts working again, hey presto. I've always found it a breeze to use once I figured this out. If that doesn't work take it back, you need a new one.

SOURCE: My external hard drive is unreadable

Does you drive make any sounds like these? If yes you have a mechanical problem and you should get a specialist to work on it. If not - try to remove the drive from USB casing and connect it directly to your PC or put into another USB enclosure. This should help if the problem is with the enclosure itself and not with the drive.

Try going into your control panel I JUST DID THIS!!!! because i had the same exact problem and it was killing me. Select your systems folder and click hardware you will see driver singing button click it and select "ignore install the software anyways" and that is it. it worked immediately after that simple change.

Targuss Wireless presenter not recognized

Hello,

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,

Make sure you are connecting it to your system through a USB 2.0 Port, and not 1.0 USB Port.

Next, uninstall the Wireless presenter totally from the System first,

Then go to "scan for hardware changes",

This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wireless presenter).

After this, ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.

It should connect like that.

(In case you don't know how to uninstall the Adapter, Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties, Device Manager, then select the Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall.)

Hope this helps.

Goodluck

Won't advance slides

IF IT JUST DOESN'T WORK... (But the laser pointer is still working when in 'presentation' mode) You need to 'Sync' the presenter and the reciever... as follows: Turn the presenter on, and turn it over so you're looking at the back of it. See the button in the middle? Press that button, and the button on the USB reciever stick, simultaneously, while holding the two of them quite close together. Problem should be solved. If you turn it on and the display isn't working, or if the laser pointer doesn't work when in 'presentation' mode, you need to change the batteries. I thought I had a dud unit until I found out about the 'Sync' function!!! Definitely on the 'need to add to documentation' list!
