Question about Brookstone Tranquil Moments clock radio

Open Question

All of a sudden, it's making a choppy, scratchy noise during the actual selection ie Ocean - you can still hear the selection but it is unpleasant. It happens with most of the selections, but not all. Doesn't do it at the lowest volume level. I took the back cover off and cleaned it out with canned air, also sprayed the volume control with tuner cleaner. No improvement.

Do dogs get annoyed by collars with bells on them?

Bell collars are probably uncomfortable on most dogs becauseof the high pitch sound they can emit. Dogs can hear sounds at very high frequencies that humans cannot hear. So a bell around your dog's collar may be makingan unpleasant noise for him that you aren't even aware of.

I love my speakers, but when iTunes stops playing music, they make a horrible scratchy crackling noise....any suggestions?

is your itune also connected for charging when you connected to your speaker? it could be the possible causes during itune finish playing the internal charging noise from switching supply adaptor come into the audio line get into your speaker, so you may hear the noise. If this is the problem, you may try to use differentiate line in isolator. mostly people use in the car to isolate engine alternator noise. you can find in car accessories shop.

My sub make a strange noise. It doesen't work anymore.Tks.

Strange noises can come from your amplifier or the sub itself. The most likely cause of the strange noise is the speaker just before it dies! If you have been using the sub-woofer at high volume levels then you probably have damaged it. Try testing the sub-woofer using a multimeter(on ohms setting) it should give you a reading from 8 to 4 ohms. Sometimes they may give readings as low as 1 ohm. When testing the speaker/sub you should hear a soft scratchy, thumping or clicking sound. This indicates that the speaker may still be working. If you don't have a multimeter try a 1.5 volt battery (say a AA), DONT USE HIGHER VOLTAGE BATTERIES they may damage the speaker! You will hear a clicking, scratching etc sound from the speaker which may indicate that it is still OK. If the speaker seems OK the problem may be in the amplifier, which I suggest you bring to a professional repairer. When buying speakers and amplifiers make sure the power handling of the speaker is equal to or greater than the amplifier output power. This should stop speakers from getting damaged. Make sure the speaker and amplifier specifications are rated in the same manner ie RMS PMPO Peak. A 100 Watt PMPO speaker will not survive the output of a 100Watt RMS amplifier!

Front right tire makes a grinding noise , hub assembly has been replace problem stills there, what will be the problem?

It could be a lemon replacement hub or it could actually be the tire. Check the tires tread for irregular wear patterns. If the hub was loose prior to change this could easily cause the tire to wear in a "choppy" fashion which can also cause a rough humming sound that I have often heard customers refer to as a grinding sound.

My husband owns a numark ns7 and the music is scratchy sometimes. sometimes it is the left side and other times the right. he just bought a new cable, but that didn't seem to help. any thoughts?

Scratchiness from a CD might be audible evidence that the CD player is vainly trying to conceal errors. Are the discs commercial or consumer-created?

I've had this happen on a few CD's I've recorded myself and there is no way to determine why the data is marginal. In my case, I just chalk it up to bad media.

Loud squeaky Noise

this is not 100% diagnosis as can't listen to noise but fault may be bearing lip seal disintegrating which is a serious fault and if im right then bearing will shortly go as well. reason it is noisy during start is that seal is dry and gets wet when full of water
