I am looking for scsi and raid drivers and 5 drivers that are updated more than what i have

If your system is still running the same hardware as when you bought it, you should be able to download the drivers at the eMachines support website at.

http://www.emachines.com/support/drivers.html

In the menu, click the following options

1. Desktop
2. ET Series
3. ET1161

Unfortunately they only have vista drivers available. eMachines tends not to smile on users using anything but the given OS, so you are out of luck if you want XP drivers for the system.

I want to do a restore to factory default

That disc is the OS disc. The anytime upgrade is offered by the manufacturer but is a Microsoft Windows issue. There were two types of upgrades. One let you roll back a Vista machine to XP; the other lets you switch to a higher version of the OS (Vista comes in several flavors - Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate). Look at microsoft.com for details.

I'm not surprise that they wanted money to help you. The company makes money on support.

If you want to, you can use the OS disc to do a clean (custom) reinstall. Boot from the OS disc and then reformat the hard disc during the installation. Get the drivers from http://www.emachines.com/support/drivers.html and fill in the drop downs. Have these handy because you will need them.

I hope this helps.

that is so easy to solve! reformat your pc using XP WARRIOR XP2.... that OS is supported many drivers of motherboard and video drivers. after installing XP warrior, you don't need to install the driver of your M-board and any onboard card on your pc... try to contact me if you wanna try XP warrior.

You can download an OEM version from bittorrent sites, and as long as you have the genuine certificate of authentication label on the pc case you can install and activate it legally. Just make sure you get the correct version to match the label, e.g Home or Professional.

Windows doesn't recognize recovery partition after os reinstall

The issue you are having involves using multiple systems,...If your emachine came with vistan and you installed xp, you voided your warranty status...However remove your dual boot and stick to vista if you wanna keep your restore partition working properly.....On a side note theres usually conflict with running OEM OS's on dual boot...typically it doesnt work and if it does it doesnt work like you want it to! so here is what you can do..Call Emachine up and fib to them a bit (just alittle) tell them that you cought a nasty bug and it messed with your restore partition and now you cant restore your pc....request the factory programing discs (if you ask nicely they'll hook you up 99.99% of the time) you get the discs so you can reprogram the pc to factory spec if you ever wanted to. Now use a retail version of vista and a retail version of xp. and create your dual boot, feel free to remove your restore partition if you want (cause you have the factory programing discs if you wanna go back to stock stuff YAY) I hope this helps!

Emachine t3616 changed os from vista to xp pro

On one of the cds that came with your machine are the drivers that are required for all the hardware in your system.

Should you have any problems finding them they are also available here

It would be worth downloading all the drivers for that machine and installing them one by one.

eMachines only released this model for Vista so the only drivers they have on their site is for Vista.
A little research revealed that they used the ECS (Elitegroup) 945GCT-M3 motherboard to build this system. Elitegroup has XP drivers for this board and you can download them here:
