SOURCE: spacemaker beeping loud and f3 message driving us crazy

The error code F3 indicates an oven sensor problem. The oven sensor is most likely the failed part. The oven sensor probe must have the correct resistance readings at specific temperatures. When the electronic range control (ERC) cannot identify the correct resistance of the oven sensor or the resistance is way out of specs F3 will display.
I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your oven.

SOURCE: What does the F3 alert

F3 is a shorted keypad. Unfortunately you need to replace your touch pad to correct the issue. This can happen sometimes from moisture getting into the keypad from boiling water, or it can happen for no reason at all.

Sorry there is no parts available for the microwave.

Good Luck please rate 4 thumbs up and please leave a testimonial

Hotpoint microwave model RMV1435BD under recall??

None to my knowledge, but common faults include keypad failure (may show error code "F3") and cooktop light failure, both of which can be affordably repaired. (See link below)

I have a Microwave GE make, Model No. JES1238WH001, made in Malaysia, in July 2003. On staring this, in the panel, "PF" appears for few seconds and then "F3" appears and no further...

Error code F3 on many models of microwave oven means a problem with the touch panel, (tact switches).

Replace the switch panel to fix the fault. Spares can be aquired through your GE dealer. Visit GE's web site for a list of dealers and spare parts suppliers.

Hope this helps.

Controlpanel flashes f 3

You have a faulty keypad. You could probably special order this part from a local appliance parts supply store for 50-60$ or purchase a new microwave.

GE Sensor Microwave model JES1456wf001 error code F3....how do we fix . Microwave comes on when plugged in and then reads to set clock and then it rings several times and we get an F3 code

F3 is a shorted key pad. To prove this, unplug the ribbon cable of the key pad from the control board and this symptom should go away when you plug the AC cord back into the wall. BE CAREFUL!!!

Trouble shoot

F3 indicates a failure of the keypad.

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

If that doesn't take care of it, you'll need a new keypad, and this is not too hard for a DIYer.
