Hello,

Unfortunately, you have to manually get the information and transfer it to the other phones. The analog phones have a limited functionality and this is one of the not included features.

Panasonic phone is it best to leave the handset off base charges for several hour a day

Sarah, I would leave it off base, and let it run down, they say you do not have to, but I believe it keeps battery better, and less hydro usage.

What is meant when screen says out of range

You will need to take your handset closer to the base because the signal is weak and out of range. Try locating the charging base in a more central location. If this doesn't work try this.
You can first try a Basic Reset.
A reset is done by following the below steps:
1. Disconnect the battery from handset(s)
2. Disconnect Phone Cord from wall jack
3. Disconnect Phone cord from base unit
4. Disconnect AC adapter from wall outlet
5. Allow to sit for 30 min
6. Reconnect Phone Cord to base
7. Reconnect Phone cord to wall jack
8. Reconnect AC Adapter to wall outlet
9. Reconnect battery into handset until you click or feel the plug snap into place
10. Re-Register Handset by placing on main base

Phone shows message saying it is too far from base even though you are standing next to the base.

Try re-registering the handset to the base, info should be in the manual that came with phone.

I no longer have the Manual our phone states Base 1

go to www.manualsonline.com This is a good site for getting a manual or just part of the manual info. You can leave info about your problem and people will answer, or request how to get the manual . It may take some timedepending howavailable or popular the item is. It is free in most cases.

No Nokia 6300 is a S40 based phone.
These are virus free, (not symbion based phones)

So dont worry about the virus, there is some other problem.

Uniden Cordless Phone Model DSS7855. frequently fails to connect to an incoming call, with 'out of range' indication. The phone is less than 1 meter from the base station.

The handset/base keeps a record of who it’s registered to. The base also keeps a record of how many handsets are registered to it.

Using the de-register function on the handset deletes the handset from the base (decrements the count) and deletes the base info from the handset. All this requires that the base and handset can communicate with each other.

To remove the base data from a handset when out of range of the base, press and hold the ‘end’ button and the ‘#’ button simultaneously until the phone beeps. It will now be de-registered from the base.

However, the base will still have this handset in it’s record.

To de-register all handsets from the base, remove power and the base handset. Press and hold the ‘flash/find hs’ button while applying power. Wait for the beep and release the button. The charge light will now flash. Sit any handset in the cradle. When the flashing stops, all handsets are inhibited from connecting.

However, the handset still appears to be connected to the base unit. Pressing talk will give an ‘Unable to connect’ message. To re-register the handsets to the base, you have to de-register the handset first with the two button method.

Of interest, pressing ‘*’ and ‘#’ on the handset while reconnecting the battery is suppose to reset the handset. Doing the same on the base unit puts you in some sort of diagnostic mode. Press speaker to exit.
