I now have the exact same problem, but occered after a power electrical storm. I took the back panel off and found the Main Chassis Board to be a little crispy and smells like the majic smoke was let out. Does anyone know where I can buy a new board?

you will need to check the fans are all switching on when you turn the tv on, it might be one of the fan sensors that has gone bad, the tv wont turn on if it detects that the fans or a single fan is not working. I have not worked on this particular set , but that would be the first place i would look, if you find a fan is not firing up and if you have a multimeter, then check to see if you have a 12v voltage going to the fan, an easy way of rectifying it is to run a wire from one of the other working fans to the positive of the fan that isnt working. This would at least eliminate the fan as the culprit, if the tv starts up normally then the problem lies in why the fan is not receiving power. I ran a tv using this method for over 8 months before it died, from other problems i might add , not the fact i bypassed the fan power circuit.

My kds-r60xbr1 sony wega projection tv is blinking green then red and wont go on how do i fix this problem .i also just replaced the bulb about 3 months ago.

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

Hi. I have a Mitsubishi WS-65807 65" rear projection TV. Unfortunately, I'm getting no picture on any input. The sound works just fine. Checking for a diagnostic code, I get 12: no problems. Occasionally,...

look inside the front of the TV Pull the left and right speaker grills off, Then pull off the decorative plate in the middle. Now remove the access panel underneath.
Take a flashlight and look carefully at the 3 boards that you'll see on the bottom. Look for any clear viscous fluid on these boards. What I'm afraid you may see is that coolant from one of the CRT's has leaked onto one of these boards. If it has leaked on the right-most board, this TV is probably trashed. If it's on the center or left-most board, it may be able to be fixed, but you'll still have a leak in one of the tubes, and obviously that's not good.
you can get the required board and components at ----- www.partstore.com -------- or from ------ www.radioshack.com ----
---------
if you are not familiar with doing this you can get it done by local tv repair technician familiar with this model tv.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

TV WAS WORKING FINE, TURNED IT OFF, THEN TURNED IT ONTHE NEXT DAY

Your tv might have a defective power supply, and/or convergence circuit. The initial cause of the problem, if it is the convergence circuit, is usualy a loose conection on one or two jumpers close to the convergence output circuits (STK392-1110), in with case this chips might need to be replaced and a pico fuse of 5A on the power supply too. I hope this help you.

Power not getting thorugh. The projector was working a while ago. The power plug was pulled out accidentally when it was switched on.

The only step you can try to resolve this is by doing a power drain:

1. Unplug the product's power cable so that the device is not grounded to the house. Do not simply turn off the power-bar if one is in use.
2. Press and hold in the products power button for 1 minute to release the retained electricity from the capacitors and circuit board.
3. Plug the product back into the wall outlet rather than a power-bar to rule it out of contributing to the problem and turn the device back on. If this doesn't work, something spiked in the circuit board when the power was abruptly shut off. Circuit boards are very sensitive to this and service would likely be required. When you turn the TV on, is there any attempt by the TV to turn on? Are you hearing anything or seeing an LED flash? If no, the power supply's fuse may have blown or the power supply is now defective.

Toshiba 51H93 won't turn on **HELP**

Good Day, jsilver05;
That's a very good TV, sorry you're having a problem. I have the same TV.
1. The blurring of the pic may be an indication of a convergence problem.
2. The surge protector is not a fail safe device, it will reduce damage to the TV but will not not 100% protect it.
It is possible that by turning the power off may damaged the already weaken convergence circuit, but more then likely some other electronic device failed.Like a voltage regulator, high voltage device, and etc.
At this point I would recommend that you call a factory authorized service dealer and them come out and give you an estimate, or you can e me if want troubleshoot TV if you have digital meter etc.
Good Luck, big IRISH, mmrkcar@yahoo.com.

TV auto shut off-power indicator light blinking-won't turn back on

You could have gotten an electrical surge that put your set into a shutdown condition and unplugging the set and letting the Microprocessor reset will fix this problem if it dosent blow out the main power regulator as you still or might I say have a regulator IC problem. IF THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN MORE THEN A FEW TIMES WITHIN A SMALL TIME FRAME I WOULD HAVE THE SET LOOKED AT BEFORE THE REGULAOR BLOWS SOMETHING OUT!!!!
