EMachine T3025/Best Buy

Hello, I have a Emachine t3025 that had a HDD die on it. I am looking for a quicker source for the recovery disks then Emachines as they are projecting 2 weeks +. I was wondering if I could bring the machine into Bestbuy for a Ghost image of the recovery disks or some other quicker solution. Thanks!

Hi - Is the HDD dead or did it crash? If it crashed could you please explain what happened. Thanks.

Best Buy would charge you an arm and a leg to reinstall the OS. If the machine is under warranty (and you bought it from them), then maybe they'll do it for you, but you'd probably have a fight on your hands either way. I'd just wait for the discs in the mail, but that's me.

Get simple windows xp you just have to format deep with emachines as ntfs ive ran windows complete programs on emachines with out a problem and created straight recovery disk simple to be ran in windows safemode
now your hard drive
depending on which brand hard drive you have there is a couple out there that have data compression problems over 80 gig these harddrives over 80 gig have a crash ratio of 8 to 1 sea gate about 2 years ago had this problem dont know if they corrected it yet
quite possible your hard drive did not die at all but the power supply just didnt have the juice to push it check hdd by another source of power

I'm trying to download E728 recovery disk but my serial/SNID no isn't recognised

If you have done a Factory Recovery, all your date is gone. You have formatted the HDD. You must start from the beginning, do all your Windows and eMachine updates. In Windows 7 you will find a folder, "Windows.old", after you have finished ALL the updates, do a Search for Windows.old, you will find SOME of your old data. If the Laptop didn't complete the Recovery process, try again. Where did you download the e728 Recovery disk from? Is it a boot disk? A ISO disk? You may have to contact eMachine support, using your Serial Number, order a Factory DVD to return the Laptop to Factory Settings.

Emachine T3025. Just clean up a bunch of malware. Computer is naturally slow due to only 512mb RAM but runs (ran) good. Today would not power up at all. When power cord unplugged the NIC led would light up...

A Lock Up and No Power Up like that is common... Unplugging and dicharging the PC will normally correct that... which it did.
The Beeping is cause by a bad connection in the Memory Modules or a Video Card in a PCI or AGP Slot. Moving it around may have caused dust or dirt to wedge in there and cause a bad connection. Remove side case and blow out and reseat those items.
The two conditions are unrelated... moving the case around again can cause that.

Utilities I would recommend:
1. SUPERAnti Spyware
2. Glary Utilities - Run until thewre are no errors...2-4 times

T3025 won't load os

It Could be faulty memory. Find out what kind of memory you have and see if manufacturer has recommended memory settings for that board.

It could also be a faulty video card.. just replace it. or if u dont have one yet, the integrated graphics chip cud help for now.

Please let us know if that was helpful enough.

Good Luck & Thanks,

No monitor signal and hard drive not spinning? (eMachines T3025)

wiring diagram? Usually you just plug in the 4 pin molex connector. If its not spinning the HDD is damaged and needs to be replaced.

Also I can tell you the Wires are Yellow=12v Black=ground RED=5v and orange=3.3v
