Why P5G41TM LX turns on and off automaticly?

You might want to check the heat your motherboard is putting out. A thermal gun is good for this and the price of these have really come down. I have seen some under $25. Check all the components on the board for excessive heat paying special attention to the processor and memory. Sometimes it is a good idea to remove the heat-sink and fan from the processor, clean them, reapply the thermal grease and see if that helps. Is your fan running at the correct speed? Sometimes this is hard to tell, but if it isn't running fast enough the heat will build up and shut you down. Another thing to look for is the capacitors on the board. If any are bulging out a little you may have a problem. If you let it cool down completely does it run longer before shutting down? Have you tried running it with the case open and a fan blowing on the MB? Just a few thing to check.

Cpu fan speed

1. Check if something like power supply wire have bangin in there.
2. Clean : Try to use lighter fluid to loosen and clean the dirt inside the processor fan but first disassemble the fan from the heat zinc of the processor. flip the fan and you will see the bearing and motor, drown it with fluid, and rotate the fan so the dirt will loose, after some spins, try to spill the fluid inside the fan. then assemble and test.

My dell optiplex gx 620 system fan run so fast and produse a lot of noise when i play games or downloading data from net

Open up the computer and clean the dust out of the fan and processor heat sink. If it is a temperature-controlled variable speed fan, it will probably not have to work so hard to keep the processor cool.

If it is a fixed-speed fan, it may be getting loud because the bearings are wearing out. Gently try to rock the fan blade unit - it should not have any wobble or slop in the bearings, and it should rotate easily.

If necessary, clean as much dust as you can out of the power supply without taking it apart.

Do not use a regular vacuum cleaner to **** dust off the motherboard. The high-velocity airflow may generate electrostatic charges that can damage the board. It's probably OK to vacuum out the heat sink if you hold the fan still to keep the vacuum cleaner from over-speeding it.

When i will do some work in my pc some times the processor fan is rotating to fast and a lot of sound is coming what is the problem can u help me sir

Dear Umashankar Ji,
Don't worry this is not a problem.
This is due to overheating of processor just like we have a radiator in our Cars.
Fan starts when the car is heated up. same case with the processors and their fans.
so dont worry.

shutdown is due to overheating there is a sensor inside every processor to protect it from overheating nd if the temperature goes above this temperature it automatically shutdown.
if you are using a desktop then change your cabinet buy a airy one with extra fan installed in it. or you can open one side of your cabinet to sink the heat quick;y.

My pc is automatically shutdown

There are several reasons for a pc to shut down. One of the main reasons is overheating.

Did you properly put on thermal paste on the processor?

Ddi you check your processor fan to make sure its working and working fast enough to cool the proscessor?

Check all these things and if they are not done, put more thermal paste on processor and get a new fan.

If that does not work, the board may be defective and needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps

System cooling problem

Hello there,

No this is normal for a fan to speed up or slow down. It all depends on what the CPU is doing. FOr example, if its doing lots of graphics (3D gaming etc) then it gets hotter and the fan speeds up to cool it.

If your worried you can use a heat monitor to check if things are ok. You have an intel motherboard?? If so go here to download a monitor:

If your unsure about the motherboard (or you dont know if you already have a heat monitor) then try this one:

I hope this helps you, and if it does let me know by rating this answer.

CPU Heating Problem

Actually, when you play 3d games, it takes a lot of processor usage, thus more heat is generated from the processor. The system compensates this heat by increasing the speed of the fan. Try downloading a sensor for your processor(usually available in the drivers CD or the motherboard's website) to check if the heat is really over the limit. If it is, you may want to clean your fan, put some oil, and replace the heatsink compound. Or if you have extra cash to spare, buy a better cooling system for your processor
