The eyepiece should NEVER BE DISASSEMBLED! Since it has multiple lenses inside no one can tell you how they go back together. This also voids the manufacturer warranty.

Go and buy another eyepiece and NEVER ever disassemble them. Only the OUTSIDE surface ever needs cleaning,

Here is one retailer who sells eyepieces.

My son completely disassembeled all the parts and lenses of his microscope. how can i find out how to correctly put it all back together?

The image is of a telescope. This type of scope has only one optical part in the tube, a mirror on the end opposite the focuser end. The smaller tube just goes in to the focuser and it uses a small screw to hold it in place. If the lenses are truly taken apart then there may still be hope as most critical optics are glued together with crystal clear glue.Clean them and reassemble.

You could take it apart, but would you be able to put it back together? Do you have a lens collimator and other gear needed to ensure proper alignment? If you don't have the proper tools, leave the job to a trained professional (or replace the lens).

There is no alignment of the lens because the optical lens is fixed. If he removed the lcd panels then there may be a problem. You may want to check to make sure there is nothing on top of the optical lens or the mirror inside the mirror block assy wasn't damaged. If he damged the optical block or lcd panels then an optical block may need to be replaced. Very costly. Good Luck

it looks like when you took this apart you did not alignt the lenses properly, there should be a locating groove or stub which these lenses should fit to... it looks like they are pressing against the stub but are not located properly, hence the distortion. try taking it apart again....when you put it back together again the fault may have gone.
