PLEASE GIVE ME A TECH SUPPORT NUMBER!!!!

  • Anonymous Sep 18, 2008

After numerous emails and calls that went unreturned, no-one can still tell me how to turn this off either. One tech idiot just said to live with it, it's not that bad! Also, I have a new message light that keeps on blinking even when there are no messages. Can't get that to shut off either.

Clients and employees are complaining about the piercing beep when on hold. We've called customer service and they could not answer. We have 4 RCA Executive Series and 1 cordless in this office and other offices have as well. This has been a bad investment for our company!

Unfortunately the Beep is built into the phone itself. Other than throwing the phone away (seriously considered) you can add on hold music which at least plays sound and reduces, somewhat, the annoyance of the beep. You need to purchase a Skutch CK-7, which is an on hold music adapter that works on the phone. I do not sell them, so suggest you just google them on line. It is not great, but better than just the beep

You would be better off with an OnHold message than just music. I am sure you don't need a skutch. John the onholdguy 408-679-4050

How to silence the on hold beep for the kxt7731

What do you want to use to indicate the call is on hold? You can set it to Music on hold with no music, but the caller won't hear anything if you have no music. If you're talking about the recall on hold, it's adjustable in system programming, where you'll also find the On Hold programming.

How do you get rid of the beeping noise when you dial on a Toshiba Business Phone - Model #DKT3210-SD?

Dial Pad and Button Beeps
Digital telephones can emit a “beep” sound whenever a dial pad or feature button is pressed. The “beeps” are On by default. Follow these steps to turn the “beeps” On or Off on 3000-series DKTs.
1. Press 3+6+9+Hold(simultaneously).
2. Press 0.
3. Press Feature Button 1 (FB1) to toggle On/Off.
FB1, LED On: buttons beep.
FB1, LED Off: buttons do not beep.
4. Press hold to set the option.
5. You must also go off-hook, then on-hook to exit the program mode.

Ge fourline telephone 29488GE2-A There are annoying loud beeps on other lines when one line is on hold. How do I get rid of it? You cannot talk on the lines until someone picks up the call that is placed...

The phone generates a low beep tone about once every 10 seconds for the person on hold. This lets them know that they were not hung up on but at the same time it is not needed if you have music like a typical office puts on the holding lines. I talked with the manufacturer and they told me that this feature can not be disabled through programming. There is however a on-hold aftermarket adapter that can be placed in front of the music system that will eliminate the tone (Invotel AudioImage SX4400EZ). The cost we paid for this device was about $200 which has a audio input and in/out plugs for all 4 lines. This aftermarket system is designed to replace the beeps with music you provide through the audio input.

We are using panasonic KX-T7633phones wherin we are getting complaints as whenever the rep put the customer on hold it plays an awful music on hold and our IT support says that this is notpossible to...

The TDA cabinet has at least 2 jacks, labelled EPG and MOH. Guess what MOH means :-)

I don't know about cost effective, but you can get an MP3 player or use a spare PC to stream MOH music to your phone system at prices starting as little as $29.

http://www.onholdstore.com/onholdsystems.html lists players that sell for $140-200, and the Software tab gets you Message Studio to make your own MOH productions. It includes free music and voices.

Outside of that, use the keywords MUSIC ON HOLD and you will see tons of prices and alternatives.

The easy answer is check program 803. It should be set to music1. The harder one is that you need to look at some 990 programs. Most notably area 7 bit 7 for a "1".

Need to change hold music ASAP

How about turning off the Music On Hold source at the phone system. It will be an external device ( radio, mp3 or cd player ) and turn it back on when you are on-line.

RCA 4 line phone

Hi Richman,

If you have more than one phone line which I assume that you do -if one party has not completely hung up the handset after putting someone on hold when you pick it up on your end you will hear that beeping noise that you are talking about. Have them pick back up the line while you are on it and replace the handset again on thier phone to disconnect completely.

I hope this helps (trial and error)
Thanks
