Question about Audio Players & Recorders
This is the "protect" mode -- the unit has detected a short circuit in the speaker output and has shut down to keep from burning out the amp.
Remove the speaker wires, then reconnect one at a time. If the LED starts flashing again before you've connected any wires, then the problem is within the receiver.
If it starts flashing again when you connect a particular speaker, then the problem is in the wiring to that speaker or the speaker itself.
