SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel smart drive

It is either the inlet valve or the pump. If the pump is fine you need to replace the inlet valve. Here you can find parts.

Hi Craig,just read your posting.The squeak could be the bearings.Is the machine noisy on spin?Could you reply back and tell me what part of the cycle the squeak happens.Looking forward to your reply.

it is either the control board or the motor wiring, it will need further investigating to determine which of these it is

Most of the faults are pump related.
check the Ohms reading on pump should be 33- 35
If readings are less change your pump.

Our Fisher and Paykel excellence 5.5 smart drive 9, washes fine but when it comes on rinse cycle it wont drain the water and makes a humming sound.

Check your pump with a multimeter for correct reading
230V AC Pump 50Hz 33Ohms +/- 8% @ 20oC
110V AC Pump 60Hz 7Ohms +/- 8% @ 20oC
Also check for blockages that may stop pump from turning.
Disconnect from power & Bail out all the water you can before removing pump.

for corrosion on the terminals and replace if faulty.
