Sending text messages takes too long

Why is it that it's taking two to three freakin minutes for me to send a text message?? I'm thinking that my phone has some viruses because I scanned my phone memory and it said: 5380 kb for Used Memory; 42 mb Free Memory.. However, the breakdown is weird!!! 9 kb for calendar; 170 kb for contacts; 46 kb for messages; and 2 kb for documents. so, how come it said I've used 5380 kb?? I need an immediate answer, please!!!

I had the same problem. I tried lot of things. But all free edition of antivirus sucks. So i reinstalled the firmwire. now its good. If u download themes plz save that in memory card. in future save every thing in memory card, the phone itsely have some problem, i think so.

If u think u have viruses in ur mobile, install an antivirus programme in ur mobile.
OR
u need to format ur mobile. Follow these steps:
1) turn off the phone.
2) press and hold three buttons at once:
- Green dial button
- * button
- 3 keybutton
and turn on ur mobile.
3) Hold all buttons until formatting screen appears.
4) After it completes, restart phone.
5) Ur phone is now formatted.
7) Ur problem is fixed

Cant send or recieve text messages on my mobile phone

hi, if you are having trouble sending or recieving text messages then the fisrt thing you need to do is delete all the sent and recieved messages and also drafts due to the fact that if your memory is full this will give you loads of problem sending and recieving text or mms messages so deleting these will then get your messages working again.

If how ever you still cant send or recieve text messages then the chances are that your message center number is wrong or got mest up, what you need to do is contact your service provider and ask them to send you the text message center number settings, they will then tell you the correct message center number and how to change this setting on your phone.

They wont charge for this and it will only take 2 minutes to solve your problem.

Samsung GT-E1150i can't send text messages

I was told to remove the battery and SIM card, wait three minutes then power up the phone again. (Time and Date have to be reset) Unfortunately this did not solve the problem so it could be a Vodafone network problem. I am wary of trying the SIM in a different brand or model of phone in case of an unexpected reformat occurring, so until a duplicate phone arrives the job is on hold. In general one just cannot get the right staff these days. Take care!

My lgpi 340n cannot receive and send text messages, what will i do?

If it used to send/receive text messages and no longer does I recommend shutting off the phone, taking out the battery for a minute or two, then reinstall the battery and try again. I'm assuming your phone plan allows you to text, yes?

I have a Pantech Impact and I can't get to my messages because it says Initializing Messaging. I can't send or receive texts at all. Normally it takes a couple of minutes to load and everything...

When I try sending a text message a red x appears and the message does not send

First of all, make sure that you have service and that your service includes text messaging. If you have all of the above, without powering off your phone, take the back of your phone off and take the battery out. Leave it out for a minute or so and place it back in. Replace the back of your phone. Power it back on. Retry sending messages. I hope this helps.
