I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.

Make sure the 12v power connector is securely connected to the system board. If you open up your computer look at the end of the board that the memory modules are there is a 4 pin connector thats the 12 v Make sure thats plugged in and secure, If thats ok you have already did the removal of the memory and replaced them, take out any pci express cards and use your onboard video, if that don't work try one memory module at a time see if that works you already seem to be savoy enough to do that and try that, and if that does not work you may need a new power supply. You can check it but probally will be bad I have the same desktop and thats been a problem with these 5150 along with the mother board going out after the warranty expires. I sure Hope this helps you out,, Happy Holidays to you and yours. Hey If you need me to look anything else up let me know. Thanks again bear001
SOURCE: Panasonic 32" HDTV keeps turning off
I just purchased the TH-42PX75U. It would run fine for an hour, then shut off...I would unplug and re-plug..same story. After much chatting on Panasonics Help chat option...7 blinks means there is a component that is not operating properly. Seems to be a common problem with this particular TV based on my online research. Anyone have any suggestions to make it easier to put this thing back into that box??!!

When the lamp fails in this unit, often the thermal fuse opens. The error code is 6 blinks. To replace this part requires a great deal of deal of disassembly.

hi there, have the same kind of problem twice so far after was bought for me as x-mas present (although my viera isnt plasma, its an LCD TX-32LMD70A)..
I Pulled out the mains plug for about 10-20 seconds and then plugged back in (power button at top was pushed in, in the on position, so when the power was on, the tv just goes straight on). It then worked.
i would however like to know why this happens ( i really hope this isnt a hardware problem, as like many others... its only months old!!)
hope this helps
