Question about Whirlpool Refrigerators

If you look on e-bay, there is a chap in the UK selling repair kits. If you are reasonably mechanically minded and handy with a soldering iron, and happy to remove components on a PCB and replace them you can fix all of your issues in about an hour. The kit costs £35 with full instructions and also you can phone him for advice. It consists of a number of capacitors (as per solution #1 plus several others). I fixed mine over the weekend and am delighted with the results, no need to pay hundreds for the the boards from whirlpool!!

The first thing that I would do is to clean the coils...if it has stopped in hot weather it is often because the freezing compartment is no longer getting cold enough... dirt blocking the air over the coils is the most common thing that causes this...
