Hi ive been given a wolf 800 generator but i cant get it to work i have checked the plug wich is getting a spark and i can smell petrol in the cylinder head. what im wondering dose petrol go off i dont no how long its been in the tank so could it be this thats the problem

I have a Wolf 800 that was difficult and would not start.
1. The fuel hose was kinked and fuel was not flowing to carburettor, hose unkinked and fuel flowed.
2. Check the push-on connectors at rear of on/off switch, one had come off. Easiest way to replace is to remove fuel tank bolts (4) and angle tank out of the way.
3. If a Chinese F5TC spark plug is fitted, throw it away even if a spark is apparent, and replace with a equivalent such as NGK BP5ES or Champion N14YC

Yes fuel goes bad drain fuel and clean carberater and put some seafoam in gas or small engine tuneup
